By that time India will possesse more than enuff to counter it

SAMs would not be enuff to counter an aggressive India

India possesse fighters that can fly out of the SAM range and can take them out

And if SAM were that gud...no country would have gone for fighters....
India alone possesses more than 20000 Sam units....going by ur logic,we can deter an American aggression with it let alone Chinese +Pakistani

1. SAM is not just for aircrafts but also for missiles. SAM system is only for defence purpose but aircrafts are for both defence and offence and of course ur SAM systems also big part of air force's strength

depends upon which fighter u r buying
it's not easy to produce them
take the example of rafale.. if we start inducting it from 2016... it will be completed by 2025 and that to with dassault giving us a batch of readymade 40+ fighters.....
same goes with other fighters

Now tell me when u r expecting the first series production of ur fighter
See it's production capacity
And decide

1. if ur talking about current SAM , yes they will be pretty much useless, but new SAM also coming, did not u count that ? lol the current steath techs includes shape, low radar signature, little bit signal absorb, low heat signature.
but there is a plasma tech which allows aircraft to absorb entire radar signal of enemy sides. but it is very expensive. each kg of aircraft weight will cost as each kg of gold, so new tech yet to come to make fully stealth

Okay we'll see that after 2025,but right now BD is basically a sitting suck in front of the Indian Armed Forces.I mean your AF has only 8 Mig-29s and the rest of the BAF are basically 3rd generation Mig-21 copies from China.Just imagine,if the IAF decides today to unleash a force of a couple of hundreds of Jaguar and Mig-27 attack aircraft backed by a squadron of Su-30 MKI,they'll literally turn your country into a pile of rubble in no time.What i am trying to say is that BD is not in a position at present to antagonize a country as powerful as India.Maybe BAF will become strong after a decade or so but right now it has got no means to challenge the might of the IAF
