Beef consumption per person. (pounds per year).

I eat less than 10 kgs of beef in a year.. only in burgers and Nihari when I go to Pakistan.

But I eat a lot of mutton.. may be more than 50 kgs or even more than a 100 kgs.. as I eat mutton daily.. I stopped eating mutton a couple of months back, but it affected me psychologically. I started feeling weaker..

Started again.. every day is a mutton day for me.. that's bad I know.

We normally buy 2 kg of beef, 4 kgs of mutton, 1 kgs of poultry and 2 kgs of fish per week and we are two people so we eat approx. 4.5 kgs of total meat that means 234 per year per person which is a lot.
And beef consumption is 52 kgs per year per person which places us between Israel and Canada in beef consumption.

I think I eat less than 2 Kilo of beaf a year. Even less of Mutton.
I eat Lamb all year around. Buy whole lamb fridge it and consume, re-order when finished.
Mutton and Beef is only when I go to Restaurants, they usually have Beef in Nihari etc.
But for other meat dishes I only order Lamb nothing else even in the restaurants.

I like steaks and burgers.
However folks it is not good to eat it regularly.


I eat in order of most to last:

1. Chicken Breast
2. Fish
3. Lamb

This is combined with vegetarian dishes that consist of chickpeas, potatoes, tomatoes and lentils.

I think best to have some of a lot of things in moderation.

I can't tell the difference between mutton and veal....
