These guys been crying for last 4 decades but never bothered to produce movies that people would watch. I don't think keeping ban on anymore will make film producers turning out more entertaining movies appealing to a wider population. Hey its us only (mainly Keralites & Bengalis) who are responsible for this. Its not that they came to power through revolution but we elected them and the Bengalis who prides themselves in their intellectual superiority elected them time after time for more than 30 years.

Intellectual superiority theory is as funny as martial race theory, no race is intellectually superior than others. Yeah it's true that a middle class Bengali family would rather go hungry but make sure his child goes to best school and painting/music/recitation classes but I guess it's true for most of Desis.

Is it really the communist??? I thought you could have your own industry/business in WB all along. Communist even arranged free lands for big corporates. I am bit confused.

You could have your own business in any part of India, but its success depends on the industrial policies adopted by the various state governments. In States like Gujurat, Maharashtra, TN etc its very easy to set up factories while in states like Kerala and WB where Communists have upper hand its not so. Its is mainly due to the fact that Indian Communists are trapped in a time wrap.They still see anyone who has money or making money as oppressors of the workers that should not be tolerated. While the industries industrialists in WB ran away from the state, in my state Kerala industrialists make sure they have some back up plan in adjoining states of Karnataka & TN. If they find they can no longer work in the state, they will move to neighbouring states. Sometimes the entire factories are shifted out of Kerala.

In WB when they find out that the local population will throw them out, they tried to bring in industries by offering them free land but it does not succeeded.Mamata didi was elected with an unprecedented majority.

the main culprit was trade unions aka the infamous citu, which won't let industrialists to breath with their cholche naa, cholbe na. The main reason of recent it IT industry growth in west bengal is that no union is allowed.

Do you think communist being in opposition trade union will vanish???
We had a similar problem with Unions but died away along with their industries. Most trade union infected industries are closed now. Owners of new industries does not allow Union in its original form. Govt also put rats inside the workers, so that any disturbances can be spotted upfront and minimized.
