What's new

Bangladesh's revenue receipts increase 21pc.

Lol. You had to show 2015-16 exports data to prove your point. INDIA can't feed it's people? India spends $60 billion dollars a year on food subsidies. That is equivalent to your entire budget. Lol.

The collection of graphs you saved just to prove your confirmation bias is hilarious. Did BBS teach you how to collect selective data? Lol.

Are you vietnamese now? Your are lungi, use that reference point.

Also isn't it stupid to quote Vietnam, when lungiland being larger than Vietnam exports less than 1/10th of it. Have you no shame?

Learn basic math. India's population is 8 times yours. India's exports could be 15 times yours. So tel me dumbo who is doing better.
If Indians are malnourished then why is our HDI more than asian tiger?

What am I making up Indian? Where exactly is the confirmation bias? South Asia in general compares to Africa in malnutrition this chest thumping from Indians about their stronk economy is hilarious given that malnutrition is so bad.

Hindutva logic...customer is the begger.... all the more reason to dump substandard indian products

It is, in several cases. Bangladesh is an LDC that- despite all the STRONK propaganda- can afford just 3.5 lakh motorcycles an year.

That's nearly 1/8th that of India per capita. You think you deserve a Ducati Panigale for that market?

Ok Indian I can bring up more then if you want so much empty bragging and yet from your latest nutritional surveys even Ghana compares to the best states in India in terms of child nutrition. Uttar Pradesh compares to Niger and Chad.

Smartphones sales? Air travel? Motorcycles? Commercial vehicles (trucks)? Energy consumption (kWh of electricity and kgs of oil per capita)? Steel consumption?

I don't see any similarities.

You and your Indian friends keep going on and on in these threads insisting India does better than Bangladesh on some sectors.

We agreed. Yet you keep on harping. Why?

You think posting here calling us names is making you any friends?

India gained independence in 1947, we did in 1971.

Bangladesh' is trying to catch up. It will take a while.

Nothing more to see here or write about. Let's move on.

Knowledge of basic arithmetic isn't required to stitch clothes. The intelligence they display here on this forum pretty much correlates with the economic complexity of their exports.

Have you ever stopped to consider possible that Bangladeshis don't need cars or motorcycles for that matter? It has one of the world's highest population densities. Most Bangladeshi cities are very walkable and car unfriendly which is a good thing.

My first reply on this thread (which triggered a lot of people it seems) was a question on how Bangladesh's GDP growth & tax to GDP ratio data could be contrary to each other. I didn't saw anyone engage with with data except for this one member @Homo Sapiens.

The point was not a comparison, but since it's started I feel there is no problem contributing to such a discussion.

Why are you getting mad these are your own government's statistics that your country is completely failing with such a basic thing like food security. Uttar Pradesh is doing similar to a country with an active insurgency that has no control outside of its cities goes to show the competence of the Indian government.

You say as if you have a say in the matter. If it was upto PDF Bangos there would be no relationship with India. Obviously dreams/hallucinations are not reality. Lol.

Relationship with India will only become feasible when trade deficit will be reduced to zero.

Please don't forget that they do not need smartphones, delivery trucks, air travel or even energy when compared with nations having similar per capita GDP.

Your nation is the poster boy for sustainable development I see. Kudos to Bangladesh.

So tell me dumbo, don't you also need mobile phones? Electronics? Electricity?

You understand Bangladesh purchases less than 7 million smartphones while India does 150 million a year. What happens to superior percapita when it comes to smartphones?

Now that can't happen as long as you stitch only chaddis.

The relationship with India started even before Bangladesh became a nation state. You cannot pick your neighbours.

@Homo Sapiens is an economist. All of us need to be like him?

Theorizing is an Indian hobby, Bangladeshis do not dabble on it as much. Yes you can call us stupid or whatever else your heart desires.
