Wouldn't India make the distinction between buffalo meat and beef pretty clear though?
Though there's understandable skepticism in these estimates, it's best to take them seriously for the sake of development.
Shh.....And why are you keeping halal, when you are doing other naughty haram stuff?
ExactlyIt is because fish is more available in BD comparing to meat. But, know also that BD per capita fish intake is about 10% of Japanese consumption. Japan is surrounded by sea and catch huge amount of fish. BD people away from the sea do not like sea fish. This is another reason for low consumption. Anyway, total protein consumption is very low in BD.
India has about 30-35 % vegetarians. This report is unbelievable to me. Because it shows Indians per capita consuming more meat than Bangladeshis.
Indians are majority vegetarians or vegans......this is a BS report in my opinion.
Her credibility went out the window with that single statistic.
Bangladeshis are humongous meat eaters. But they are also voracious fish eaters as well.......
Id have fish tike and some well cooked beef, with some chutni and naan, along with some bbq and cheese naans.Given a choice I would pick fish over beef any day. If I go to a decent restaurant I would order salmon, sea bass, or Tuna over steak almost every time.
Add yoghurt and the smell goes away. The smell that you are complaining about, significantly reduces, only if you know how to cook them properly, rather the small of a Ram is intolerable.
This report is so not true. I have been to Bangladesh and you will find meat items everywhere starting from small roadside dhabas to hotels. Everywhere you will find poultry and beef/mutton butcheries, in every nook and corner. Also surprisingly, Pork meat is sold in Bangladesh and you will find pork shops in Farmgate and other parts of Bangladesh, however only Christians and Buddhists only sell pork. This report is unbelievable to me. People usually don't dine out. At home they eat fish and occassionally meat. This report is so not true. I think Bangladeshis are not that much poor for which they can't eat meat more frequently. I think Bengali culture favours fish over meat. Whereas the Pakistani, middle eastern, arab, american and western diet prioritizes meat consumption. Indian and Bangladeshi cusine is the same.People usually don't dine out. Also to have a higher Bone mass index, one must eat enough protein, doesn't matter if the protein source is from meat or vegetables. However vegans dont get enough protein because they dont eat the correct vegetable which contains a large protein content. Also most vegetarian based protein source are very expensive. For example Cheese and Greek yogurt which are very expensive.People usually don't dine out. At home they eat fish and occassionally meat.
