Besides, its not hard to imagine that being police officers who strayed and a drug search being cover for more sinister intents.

Dude all that happened was a bunch of local cops went looking for some phyncidyll drug deallers and strayed over to the villages on the indian side.

We have a major problem with smuggling from india and myanmar. The "phyncidyll" is stored in border villages and smuggled at night across the border, same with "yaba" a derivitive of LSD from myanmar. Just google the issue and you'll see...
