আগামী ২৩ আগস্ট ফিলিপাইনের রাজধানী ম্যানিলায় হতে যাচ্ছে মিস্টার ওয়ার্ল্ডের চূড়ান্ত প্রতিযোগিতা। আর এতে লাল-সবুজের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করতে যাচ্ছেন মাহাদী হাসান ফাহিম।
ইতোমধ্যে তিনি প্রতিযোগিতার সেরা ৩০-এ স্থান করে নিয়েছেন। আর পারফর্মেন্সের বিবেচনায় বেশ ভালো অবস্থানে আছেন এই বাংলাদেশি যুবক।
জানা যায়, ৩০ জনের পাঁচটি গ্রুপের সেরাদের নির্বাচন চলছে। এগুলো হলো- স্পোর্টস, এক্সট্রিম, মডেল, মাল্টিমিডিয়া ও ট্যালেন্ট হান্ট।
এখান থেকে সেরা পাঁচজন ও বিচারকদের তরফ থেকে সাতজন মোট ১২ জন সেমিফাইনালে যাবে। এরপর ২৩ আগস্ট রাতে হবে চূড়ান্ত প্রতিযোগিতা। সেই মঞ্চে যাওয়ার জন্য ফাহিমের প্রয়োজন ভোট।
ফাহিম বলেন, ‘সবার কাছে আমি অনেক কৃতজ্ঞ। আমাকে এতো ভালোবাসার জন্য; সমর্থনের জন্য। সোশাল মিডিয়াতে আপনাদের অনেক সমর্থন পাচ্ছি, আমি খুবই খুশি। এবার আরেকটু বেশি সক্রিয় হতে হবে। আমাকে ভোট করতে হবে।’

এবারের মিস্টার বাংলাদেশে দেড় শতাধিক দেশ অংশ নেয়। সেখানে থেকে সেরা ৭২-্রএর পর এখন ৩০ জনের লড়াই চলছে।
