New Delhi: In a shocking revelation, Indian cricket's superfan Sudhir Gautam has claimed that the Bangladeshi fans wanted to kill him to avenge their team's quarter-final loss against India in the ICC World Cup 2015.
Speaking to a news channel, Gautam said that the fans told him that they would take the revenge of the World Cup loss.

"They said in clear words that they will take revenge of the World Cup quarter-final defeat. They wanted to do so by killing me, but fortunately with the help of two security guards, I managed to escape," said Sudhir.
Notably, Sudhir was manhandled by the Bangladeshi fans post India's humiliating series defeat against Bangladesh after the second ODI.
"When I reached gate no. 1, there were a lot of fans waiting there with bamboo who were making a lot of noise. But my bag was outside the gate. So after I took by bag, there were a lot of fans behind me, but two securtiy guards helped me get inside an auto, outside gate no. 2," Sudhir added.

The incident took place while Sudhir was leaving the ground when he was attacked by Bangladeshi fans, who according to him also pelted stones at him while he was leaving in an auto-rickshaw.
“When the match got over, and just before the presentation, everyone around me had stood up on their seats. And I felt someone pushing me from behind. The crowd was animated so I quickly left the stands,” Sudhir earlier told Wisden India.
According to a latest update, Sudhir will be provided with tight security for the third ODI to be played at Shere Bangla Stadium on Wednesday.
In a touching gesture, Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin met Sudhir to cheer him after the horrific incident.
Sudhir, who is an ardent Sachin Tendulkar fan, still travels the world to cheer for the Indian team whenever they play international cricket.
India lost their second successive ODI match against Bangladesh to hand over the series to the hosts. It was a huge moment for Bangladeshi cricket since it's for the first time that they have defeated the Indian team in a bilateral series.
