You may be right if the context is a non-Muslim society. But, our theology prescribes that two children suckling the milk of the same mother are breast (foster) brothers/sisters or brother-sister (দুধ ভাই-বোন). Since a brother cannot marry his sister, considering this logic, Islamic rule correctly prescribes nonmarriage between a boy and a girl who suckled the milk of the same mother.

This rule is being followed through many centuries that should not be violated in a rash. This may not be a bad rule. There are other alternatives to feed a baby if his/her mother is sick and the baby cannot suckle. I think since mixing of milk donated by many mothers whose records cannot be verified easily, this project should be discontinued in favor of other methods.

No.Probably because human milk is more benificial for infants than cow,buffalo or goat milk.
Either way, it's a stupid project.It'll lead to going against Islamic laws according to hadeeth.Thankfully it has been stopped.

You are wrong with your assertion that no country is able to reign in on the Corporates. Because the developed countries have successfully done so, therefore, these countries have developed. Only poor, sub-standard countries like BD are unable to do so. Therefore, it is possible that BD will not be able to create a baby formula successfully, there is a chance of tainted milk. Even, it happened in China causing multiple baby deaths.

Actually, Bangladesh (and even Pakistan) should work on formula to increase breast milk production rather than a formula for infants..

The food that mothers eat in our countries is not healthy and create issue of less production which affects both mother and her child.

Even if there is no formula, mothers should be encouraged to eat pure butter ghee, nuts, meat and local fruits.. there will be no need for a baby formula at all. And those upper middle class ladies who just want to control weight after giving birth while depriving themselves and their babies of healthy food should buy imported formula for their babies.. who cares for them if they don't care about their babies?

Umm... Baby Formula.

A human milk farm, how incredibly strange.

1. Lactating women are not cows.
2. Baby formula
3. Women generally produce enough milk for thier child's need. The human body has a built in feedback loop. Being farmed like cattle will mean an over supply leading to sore breasts, blocked ducts and possibly infection on those ducts.
4. Baby formula.
5. You can only produce limited amounts of milk per session. It takes time to express, each session needs to be stored seperately and it needs to be frozen. Logistical nightmare.

One thing though. The BD project is about setting up a human breast milk bank where the milk producers are not the babies' mothers.

For those mothers who don't want to feed babies because they have to eat stuff that makes them fat.. They don't want to look bad even in the first two years..

Otherwise, what's the need of a bank if other ladies are able to donate extra.. meaning some mothers have enough that could be fed to two babies..

And I don't believe that this law will not be abused.. to earn money, mothers who belong to lower middle class and poor class will deprive their own children to earn money.

There are medical conditions when it becomes necessary to get an alternative.. but these kind of mothers are 1 in 100... most mothers can be treated by the qualified doctors if the production is low.. Only thing that doctors want from mothers is to eat healthy but a lot of fattening stuff. That phase is temporary though and mothers can still maintain their weight through tough exercise.... But they don't want to do it..

I agree with most of what you said except that I believe that women should not do tough exercise, otherwise their feminine figure will become spoiled. I am an admirer of the voluptous woman.

Critically ill babies get formula in British hospitals, even especially fortified formula for weak babies. It's just a dumb idea.
