A large runway will take less than 8000'x 300' flat land. How hard is to flatten a piece of land 1.5 mile long and with 300' width ? The current need is only to serve 14 domestic flights. Japan reclaimed land from sea and the Chinese literally made man-made islands with airport.
I don't understand how India, destined to be a superpower next year can't manage to clear up few square miles of land ?

Indians are the dumbest people not knowing the nature of our people in Comilla district. They are very arrogant and warmongers. There are many squabblings and fightings village vs village in that district whereby people from both sides come out with whatever weapons they can take hold of and do real fighting injuring and killing people of the opponents. Many dies and many are injured. This thing repeats almost every year in alternative neighboring villages.

So, even if Hasina says, yes, there is no way the BD Police can handle the rioters which they are unable to do even in the usual fightings. Police come from Dhaka to control the situation. They do it by talking amicably to both the groups and not by arresting. Now, Indians are stupid to think Hasina is in a position to occupy Comilla land at ease and gift it free to that miser country, someone named India.

Hasina could not occupy lands in the Arial Khan Beel (waterbody) for her fancy international airport at the manual resistance by the locals. Police could do nothing, and now Yaba smoking guys in India are dreaming to occupy BD land for their airport. A fantasy!!!

Firstly you mean the country of my decent get it right, and what's this got to do with the thread? I can tell you something right now more crazier than anything I've seen for a while on here, your reasoning ability which equates infrastructure building to colonialism.
Contribute some land, do tell me how successful this has been in recent time i.e. a nation asking another for land, and the asked country relinquishing its right in order for the other to benefit.

No of course not, and I was unaware that a land swap was part of this proposal. This looks like a straight up request for land.
Geneva airport lies completely within Swiss territory, but runs alongside the French border with easy access from the French side. That is feasible, perhaps due to the poor quality of the article this may be what is being asked. But do remember you have both nations in the common market, a range of shared treaties and cooperation is generally far tighter between the two.

India should hand over this airport to BD and use BD territory as transit point to enter Agartala for non military purpose only. Give BD proper fees to use its territory. This airport in the map looks out of place and dont really fit into its territory. India should rather build another airport elsewhere.
