Bangladesh Reacts to Amit Shah’s ‘Termite’ Comment, Says he is Not Qualified to Talk on Delhi-Dhaka

Totally uncalled for,

Yes there is an issue of illegal immigrants and both the countries are sorting it out.

Bangladesh is on the way to become a tiger economy with reforms, education, infrastructure and a massive young, skilled and tech savvy population.

Having a good relationship with Bangladesh will be beneficial for the whole region.

Good post.
I think most Indians and BD'shis have no real hate for each other.
Glad that India and BD are working together to build a better future for the region. If things go the way they are, S Asia will be completely different place in 10-15 years.

You completely missed my point.

We didn't have a "mother language riots"
We didn't go around rioting and saying "we don't want to learn x language"

you people did.

Then after your riots... you went off and learned that language any ways:rolleyes:

It's just a humble request to honor your ancestors who went on riot and some who died for your language, that you stop learning Urdu/Hindu.

Knowing how to say a few words in another language does not mean I am kowtowing to that country. It is a case of convenience. FYI, I don't walk around with a stick up my rear end, not that anal yet....

So Candians must learn minority languages?

Only way that Pakistan would have stayed intact
is BD domination.

Actually yes.
French is an offical language that is taught in all the schools.

In Canada, the majority English defeated the minority french in a war in the 1700. Then they turned around and made minority French a national language so it is taught to every Canadian.

Any way you slice it, your language tantrum is just that, a tantrum. There was no threat to your language ever, proven now by the fact that most of you people learn Urdu/Hindi.

How many English speakers were forced to learn French to get government jobs?

Dude, you do not make a minority language the office language. Lol

Pakistan could only have stayed intact by total Bengali domination as proven by history.
Majority dominates the minority.

No, most of the people in Bangladesh do not learn Hindi/Urdu purposefully.Bangladeshi people are exposed to Bollywood entertainments. So those who watch them unconsciously learn that language.Afterall 70-80 percent of vocabulary in everyday spoken Bangla and Hindi language are same or slightly variant. So if any Bangladeshi person expose himself to Hindi tv programs, he can internalize that language easily. And Hindi and Urdu are almost identical, so Urdu also come naturally. You would not find anyone in Bangladesh speaking Hindi/Urdu.Only when exposed Bangladeshi person comes in contact with an Indian or Pakistani, he try to speak that language with Hindustanis, because it is most convenient. So you have got the impression that most of the Bangladeshi people learn Hindi/Urdu, which is not correct.

Honestly... you really need to stop this.
You know nothing about Canada and you are just coming across as a dumb dumb.

In Canada the majority of federal government jobs need you to speak English and French. It's so bad that people like me can't work in the federal government at higher positions because I don't know French. Every prime minister in Canada has been able to speak both languages .

ALL packaging in Canada, by law is in English and French.

Again, you people just threw a childish tantrum over your language for no reason.
Then you went off and learned it any ways.

Why have I gone down this road with you?
Language issue was only one of the many reasons BD
wanted to leave.

End of the day, BD has higher GDP per capita than Pakistan now.
It's growth looks set to smash through the 8% barrier this year while Pakistan will fall down to 5%, even with the much-hyped CPEC in full swing.
BD was being held back by being part of Pakistan and great thing it managed to get out in 1971.
