The foreign ministry on Wednesday said they protested the “act of aggression” in a diplomatic note sent to the Myanmar embassy in Dhaka.
This follows the recent crisis in the Rakhine state after which nearly 70,000 Myanmar nationals fled to Bangladesh.
The foreign ministry earlier on Dec 29 summoned Myanmar Ambassador Myo Myint Than and protested the “unprovoked” attack on the fishing boat that left four Bangladeshi fishermen seriously injured on Dec 27.
Referring to the Feb 6 incident, the ministry in the diplomatic note expressed “deep concern” at the repetition of such acts of aggression that “do not contribute towards building up of an atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding among neighbours”.
Dhaka also urged Myanmar government to ensure that authorities concerned “desist from repeating such act of aggression”.
