Bangladesh Navy might acquire ATMACA AShM (>200 km)

. .
. . .
ATMACA AShMS planned as 2 block. Second block will use also MWIR seeker. There will also a mid-range (MARTE-ER equivalent) version of ATMACA. The engine work for both missiles is about to be completed. You can find enough information about both Kale KTJ3200 and TEI TJ300 in PDF Turkish section.

Bangladesh interest in Block-1 only? Or do we likely to see a comprehensive cooperation between Bangladesh and Turkey about AShMs?

BN is interested. We might see a comprehensive cooperation between two countries in AShM & Rocket artillery. Getting onboard early means we might join these programs as partners & subvert many limitations set by international arms control regimes. And BD armed forces made their interest very clear on acquiring these capabilities awhile ago.

Many more good newses in pipeline. :agree:

Cheers.

Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Malaysia are natural allies of Turkey in Asia. Turkish people have feeling brotherhood bond between these countries beyond todays politics. Our world is entering a new era, and as you can see, this multi-polarizing process very painful ( as before ) for whole of our geographies in many ways. But we must take our place in this world. We should not tolerate losing another century. Therefore, as a Turkish citizen, I support all cooperations with brotherly countries in terms of developing&sharing military security and industrial capabilities, without any exceptions.

Is this missile the one were a warhead can be added?

. .
MTCR has 35 members and Turkey is not one of them. Besides, the criteria is missile with over 500kg warhead must not cross 300km. It has 250kg warhead, so :toast_sign:
I doubt it currently has the range needed to hit 360 km until later, and you would need other sensors because the ships onboard radar can't find ships at those ranges(curvature of the earth)

Turkey has been a member of MTCR since 1997, But anyhow I'm sure something can be worked out.

It will be a very important acquisition if the news is true. Although new and unproven, the missile has western technological DNA as Turkey enjoys access to NATO tech. The question is can BN get some level of TOT for the AShM!

You are correct, this is essentially a 3rd generation Harpoon. Well where Atmaca goes, can we expect a Jinnah class MILGEM soon? If Dal (Soup) arrives on table - can Main dish (beef) be far behind? Hmmm? :azn:

I don't know if Turkey is ready to provide ToT (for a price) yet. If the news is true, we will be their first (launch) customer.

Also, how many will BN (and Army - if they adopt it) need to be equipped with and what is the usage scenario at wartime? That will decide if ToT will be worth it. Typically ToT charge is 50% of full contract or more.

You know, for our new 2 LPC configuration who will carry 8 SSM each, requirement for SSM is origin should be from Turkey/South Korea/western countries.
