Bangladesh does not develop weapons however there are a few things BD does well.

In the short history since its inception

1. It has reduced child mortality from 180 per 1000 to 24 per 1000 in 2014
2. Education level up from below 25% at independence to 77% currently for 15-24 years old and 58% overall
3. Seen above 5% growth of GDP for the last 20 years
4. Millinum goals on target of being fulfilled
5. Pioneered micro finance
6.11th happiest nation accourdingly to happy planet index.

There are many things BD does badly... But we are resilient optimistic people and we are using our limited resources to feed our people and educate our young. Different countries are at different points in their development and have different priorities. Developing weapons systems is not high in the priority list when we have more fundamental infrastructure gaps to fill

Exactly. New Zealand doesn't produce AESA or any weaponry, yet they are no doubt an advanced society, with security taken care by e.g. ANZUS.
