Bangladesh Election 2018 - PDF Poll

Who is your preferred party currently?

  • Total voters
    42
  • Poll closed .
Exactly that's my opinion too. That's why I keep supporting this autocratic regime for one more time atleast .
If that happens then this is the end of BNP.

I wish this in a sense that at least BD has a chance to get rid of "2 begum fight".
That will give birth to new political parties with better commitment to the country rather then pulling each others hair off.

.

BNP is just a name bhai. This party is a continuation of Muslim league and this Muslim league was born in Dhaka long before Awami League.
So if BNP take part in this election even without zia family, they will remain unharmed.
If they again boycott election the it will be end of the politics of zia family.
IMHO, Muslim league heritage of Bangladesh will never die as it's stronger than awami pseudo-secular idea.
Just they may change name , or may break and form another BNP , as in Pakistan Muslim league of Nawaz is the main party.
So BNP also can make such team and can be elevated.

The reality is, this two families have less chance of surviving after this two Begum.
Although Tareq is vice chairperson of BNP but he hasn't come, he is a refuge and don't think he will be able to come back.
And joy isn't active in politics , so who is the next after hasina?
No other members of Mujib family is active either. (I don't count fazlul karim as a family member of Mujib).
So finally after hasina BAL has to choose different leader.
Problem is with BNP, either they will take the decision to take part in election (with or without zia family) , or they will be finished and will form a new power ( surely based on anti BAL ground) , so IMO inshallah Bangladesh politics will move to the right direction .

Our people works hard. Let it be in garments factory or in desert.
They deserve better govt.

Good thing is people understands now that sacrifice made by our previous generations to give us a chance to prosperity, not to worship them.

So we should focus on prosperity rather then holding onto our past and worshiping dead, exactly what they wanted. That thought will change our politics.

Exactly, and thanks that you have spoken my words.
I hope soon our all of our peoples will understand that and then we will be elevated.
As long as we worship heros ( fake) , we will be screwed up like past days.if we will be rational and can lead by our mind , we will be the strongest nation in South Asia ( who knows maybe best in the world one day) !, but surely hero worshiping and lip service is our biggest enemy.
I wish and pray that almighty will make us much more rational in near future.

Observe the Next Gazipur City Corporation election. This is the base of Awamileague made popular by trhe murder of Ahsan Ullah Master. If BNP wins here, you will know about the main election.

Awami league was the Muslim league... lol...

The Pakistani counterpart still continues in the same name if I remember right.

. . . . . .
Awami League was "Awami Muslim league " not Muslim league.

I think Awami league is the splinter group of Muslim league after the creation of Pakistan. Before the creation of Pakistan these same people were in Muslim league. Some Kolkata based Muslim league influence, some local, some socialist communist influence but many actually did more to create EP than the newly formed Muslim League in EP. Newly formed Muslim league was influenced by aristocrats and many newly recruited with little political history, sidelining the Awami Leaguers. Disheartening with these activities, Awami Muslim League was created.

Yes that's true, but I was actually saying that if Pakistan wouldn't break , probably Awami League won't get such huge vote after 1970.
So probably others would get the votes, perhaps under the banner of Muslim league? Like fatima jinnah fought against Ayub . So that's another party would be probably Muslim league. So after abolishion of Pakistan this different non BAL vote bank are electing present days BNP.
