BD defence spending is now 4 billion US dollars when arms imports are taken into account.
True it was underfunded in the past but it has been growing at 6-7% a year in real terms since Awami League came into power. Remember BD army is only around 200,000 strong.

Makes sense because the light tank we specified for, does meet some of their criteria. I remember the list having countries like Turkey, Korea alongside China who were potential bidders for this tender.

Personally tho, I think it will be the Chinese VT series but I would like to see Korean or Turkish, just to see if our Military planners have started to rethink their alignment regarding China as our major defense supplier.
