You can't lump them all with the views of an hateful minority. The only 'Bengalis' I have come across who have such views have been on the internet. The UK Bengali community is fully onboard with the plight of the Kashmiri people.

Many Bangladeshis I came across here in US also supports Kashmiris, and love Pakistan, but when I see pdf Bangladeshis I get very confused by their nonsense hatred and unnecessary comparisions. Also their govt behavior and statements against Pakistan make people like me believe that entire Bangladesh is against Pakistan. I don't know what is truth tbh.

It's not all PDF Bengalis, rather some.
I honestly don't mind their views on 71, but when these hate filled ones start on the Kashmiris you have to think to yourself they are seriously evil.

Any Bangladeshi/Bengali that goes to jummah in the US has heard the prayers for Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Libya, Iraq, the Rohingya AND Kashmir.

How you can not support the Kashmiris against oppresion is beyond me.

You have to realize there is spectrum of thought amongst the Bengalis/Bangladeshis regarding these things.

I think the Bangladeshi posters on PDF skew towards the anti-Pakistani side.

I'm not sure this is based on blind nationalism, immaturity, or lack of insight regarding the big picture.

Of course, I can say the same thing about the MANY anti-Bangladeshi posters here as well.

Unfortunately, the government of BD is run by people who harbor strong anti-Pakistani sentiment.

I can tell you however, that most Bengalis that I have come across do not share those sentiments and in fact
DISAGREE with the goverment at present.

(And these are people that have been on the ground in BD in 1971)

Even they recognize the extreme nature of the AL government regarding some issues at present.

Finally, I will say that I am amongst those Bengalis that love Kashmir and Pakistan and wish the best for both.

Exactly my thoughts. It is not dissimilar to Palestine, CAR or what is going on in our backyard. No Bengali supports the Indian occupation of Kashmir, or they shouldn't. Opening up a whole thread about this is pointless and provocative for both sides and the lack of maturity is astonishing.

With that said, I also cannot trust the establishments in the neighborhood. All it smells like is mischief, orchestration and cleverly devised plans to tarnish each others names. The police officers who died, they were innocent and did nothing to deserve it. The story isn't Black & White imo.

Our people are most certainly with the Kashmiri plight, our government may not be but that shouldn't come to any surprise. We are also in awe at the international reception to the Rohingya plight (and how little was known pre-2009), every country acts on its own accordance and self interests. Looking at military procurements is one example.

Little does people know, but Pakistan has always welcomed Muslim refugees from the world. Before 2009 Pakistan was the one taking in and absorbed hundreds of thousands Rohingyas who reached to its shores, quietly. Same for Afghans, Central Asiqns, Iranians, many Iraqis, Africans. Not saying Pakistan or Pakistanis are angels but way better than those who wish death and destruction for Pakistan.
