Tell me something. Even with all those big cargo handling capacity why traders would crawl to BD when substitutes like Funai, Singapore and Hongkong are available nearby!!

A Russian importer would go to Dubai to import his choice goods made in Japan, Korea, China or Taiwan.

An Indonesian or a Malaysian would go to Singapore or Homgkong.

Why do you think any trader would ever visi an unclean BD. Look at the map. Singapore and Hongkong are surrounded by many developing Asian countries.

Dubai is a station for entire Africa, ME, Russia, Turkey and many others. But which countries surround our BD? It is India, Nepal, Bhutan and Burma. So, no foreign trader will open a shop hear.

Bangladesh can compete on price and be a hub for low cost volume goods like garments, plastic and timber products, crockery. Raw materials from Indian NE and even Burma.

In Dubai, everything is imported as is Singapore.

In Bangladesh, 1/3 of stuff will be locally produced and rest making a short journey from India and China. Making it more cost effective.

BD cannot do because stupid peasants and thieves live here. Know the meaning of Trade Hub and know which countries are now Trade Hubs. Know also their geography and see the map to know the location of BD at the very north of the Indian Ocean surrounded by India, Nepal and Burma. unfit for that kind of hub.

Just putting a nonsense counterargument will not make BD an attractive place as others, English or no English. Its geography does not favor it. I will refrain from saying other negative but true things.

Which university did you go to?
