It appears that it’s nothing else but a worry that these small gestures might lead to better relations between two neighbours.

India and Bangladesh relations have seen few ups and downs in the past. Current dispensation in both the countries has been working on to improve the relations. I hope that both the governments don’t get carried away by hate mongers who always give a spin of Hindutva and evil designs to anything Indian. By that logics all nations with different religions should be at war and those with same religion should be the best buddies. Strange logic it is.

Brother, this is not a Bangla-Pak thing. I know there are some hyper-nationalistic Pakistanis out there speaking about superior races and stuff like that. This is not my cup of tea. I am Muslim first and I want that Pakistan and Bangladesh become unified again. I don't care about Arabs. I also critisized Pakistans China stance. Islamophobia everywhere, supressed Muslims in India, Kashmir, Palestine but China is innocent and critisizing China is Western propaganda...

And I also know that most Bangladeshis have no problem with Pakistan and Pakistanis in general. They intermarry, are friends with each other and abroad they are happy too meet each other because there are still cultural similiarties (with the common religion of course). Every Bangladeshi I know can speak Urdu. So there is no enmity.

Bangladesh is still defined by its Islamic heritage and Bangladeshis are proud Muslims who cannot stand the fact that they are dominitated by Hindus (I know that, you know that). I just try to become a counterweight to those Bangladeshis who think that becoming Hindu slaves and sh....ng on Pakistan makes them somehow superior. That's not the case.

You haven’t heard of these? Haven’t heard of Bangladesh demanding an apology? Till Pakistan doesn’t accept its role in what happened in 1971 it is unlikely to result in real Pak-Bangla friendship. Unless Bangladesh accepts it and says Koi nai bhai hota hai. Kabhi kabhi ho jata hai.

I don’t see Bangladesh saying any such thing.

If you haven’t come across these on this forum itself then you wouldn’t get it. Giving it an Indian saazish spin wouldn’t work here.

I fear that, India will use this event to justify it's participation in our victory day parade in the next 16th December. It would be very bad. We never allowed Indian soldiers to march on our victory day. Now I fear, Chanakya very purposefully invited this Bangladeshi contingent to parade in their parade to extract later point scoring. If now they propose the Bangladeshi govt. to participate in our parade in 16th December, do they have any excuse to decline? After this event? India will mainly use that to troll Pakistan, mock Bangladeshi patriots, and to send 'message' to China. I feel Bangladesh unknowingly fell into a trap.
