Bangladesh Army likely to buy Russian Tanks

.
Why? Buy the fucking Armata, BD!

inb4 somebody saying bdmilitary is a shoddy source.

.
if 2018 to 2019 then we can try the armata in future but the t90 ms tagil is awesome

lets see and wait if the news is true or not

.
Negotiations are mentioned to be in 2017 with the likely procurement in 2018.
Although T90 MS is a really awesome one...given its proven battle-tested Russian platform.

.
Looking at the syrian war and the tank graveyard, they better hurry and get rid of the old junks

.
So the rumors were true, BD army isnt satisfied with mbt2000 performance.

T-90MS is a major upgrade from what we have in our armour regiments.

.
BDMillitary isnt the rightest of sources but many of their reporting have been true.

T-90MS tanks would be cool. Probably another indication that even the fighters purchased would be Russian.

I thought BD had a good chance with MBT 3000. But in a PK forum its said that Pakistan amry was not satisfied with their MBT 3000 given by the Chinese for testing. They choose T99.. type instead.

Can one of the tank expert bhais shed some light on the remote turrets, sensors and reactive armor please? How is this better than MBT 3000? Armor is not exactly my cup of tea (well not the latest stuff).......

The news source is bdmilitary

Deal is not final yet. Induction propably in 2018-2019. Most likely model- T 90MS Tagil.

In my view and experience they are like pdf, Many inside source and ex military personal involved.

It's a major twist in our armore fleet. We didn't bought any Russian tanks for 40 years. Our fleet consists of Chinese version of Russian mbt. Thought T-90MS is great tank and will be great addition to our Armour Corp's but as induction will be from 2019 it would be great if we could have the Armata.

Yes it is, isn't it? :-)

Compared to T-90 I think Armata still needs some more proving and field-testing.

And Armata though super-advanced, is also priced accordingly. Russian top-grade armor is not cheap anymore.

Compared to Norinco VT-4 (MBT 3000) which is 5 million or so each, Armata may cost quite a bit more,

There are two Armatas by the way. The T-14 is the tank, and the T-15 is the infantry fighting vehicle.

Both belong to the Armata Universal Combat Platform.

.
As to my knowledge T14 Armata is not on the export market yet. Also its not a proven one yet. As we also buy only a Few at a time, Russia would not be very interested either.

.
FOr what BD needs tank. BD has just border with India. Why sepnd money unnecessarily.
