Bangladesh Army chief to review NDA passing out parade in India

General Mohammed Abdul Mubeen, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Bangladesh Army will be reviewing the Passing out Parade (PoP) of the National Defence Academy (NDA).

Interestingly, this is the 40th year of the 1971 War of Liberation of Bangladesh.
:)

In June, Indian Army Chief General V K Singh had visited Bangladesh and reviewed the passing out parade of Bangladesh Military Academy.

General Mubeen will be the third foreign Reviewing Officer in the history of the NDA after Chinese Prime Minister Chou- En-Lai and General Pyar Jung Thapa, COAS, Royal Nepal Army who reviewed the 11 th and 107 th course of the NDA respectively in the years 1956 and 2004.

As many as 318 cadets of the 121st course of the NDA will be passing out of the academy on November 29. They had commenced their training on December 28, 2008.

“It is a great thing that the Bangladeshi Army Chief will be reviewing the NDA parade. Having a reviewing officer from another country is always good,” said Lt Gen Jatinder Singh, Commandant, NDA. Singh along with Air Vice Marshal Ajit Bhonsle, deputy commandant, NDA, was addressing a press conference at the Sudan Block ahead of the passing out parade event.

The cadets passing out of the academy include 215 cadets from the Army, 41 from Navy and 62 from the Air Force.

The Army cadets also include 16 cadets from friendly countries including Bhutan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Maldives.

Some of the other functions which will be taking place along with the passing out parade include NDA expo on November 26 followed by convocation ceremony and tattoo show on November 28. Jaspal Singh, vice chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala will be the chief guest of the convocation ceremony.

Ahead of the ceremony, the security around the NDA campus is likely to be strengthened further. While a newly constructed Sudan- block-like-looking gate will welcome the guests on Pashan side, some of the other ongoing preparations include sanctioning of four additional Defence Service Corps (DSC) platoons, three of which are expected to arrive by December. Digital surveillance cameras with night recording facilities have also been installed in and around the campus. Also, the construction of the 16 th squadron has been approved and the work is expected to be completed in two years. As reported by The Indian Express, the 16 th squadron has been named Panthers.

Meanwhile, on being asked about the ongoing conflict of interest surrounding the blocking of road between Chandni Chowk and the academy by NDA, Lt Gen Singh refrained from commenting saying the matter is subjudice. The NDA had blocked the road between Chandni Chowk and the Pashan gate of the academy from September 22 citing security issues.

INDIA support bangladesh so many times...in times of needs
India also help bangladesh to get freedom from Pakistan......
after all that......bangladesh never looses a single chance to THREATEN India by supporting CHINA'S DOMINANCE OVER ASIA.....

HA HA HA HA HA HA HO HO HO HO!!!!!

These guys are precious, the only insult here is that these people find us worthy of such poor level of propaganda and misinformation. Somewhere the childhood brainwashing and hatred does impact one's intelligence, its an interesting case stsudy.

For those who aren't aware, here are some pics of the NDA, the only institution in the world that trains cadets of all three services - Army, Navy, Air Force.

why not.........train them nicely....so that they can kill our soldiers easily...

Tura (Meghalaya), April 21 2001
The last rites of the 15 BSF personnel,
tortured and killed by the Bangladesh
Rifles on the Assam-Bangladesh
border, were performed today with
gun salute.
The bodies of the two Muslim
personnel were interred first, while
those of 13 Hindu men were cremated
in the presence of 118 BSF Battalion
Commandant S. K. Jutsi and other
senior officers, at the 118 BSF
grounds here, a BSF officer said.
As the bodies were in a “highly
mutilated condition”, they were not
handed over to family members who
were informed of the deaths by
telegram and on the telephone, the
officer said.
The BSF men belonged to Punjab,
West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and
Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier, as the bodies arrived at Tura
this morning from Mankachar in three
trucks, they were received by the
Commandant, 118 BSF Battalion, with
passion running high among the
jawans.
“The dead were among us and our
brothers. How can we remain quiet?”
a BSF jawan asked.
Deputy Commandant B. R. Mondal,
who was among the dead, was a very
popular figure in Mankachar.
Several of the 15 BSF soldiers were
shot through the eye after being
subjected to severe torture including
pouring of boiling water, during their
captivity in Bangladesh.
As the bodies were “too bad in
shape”, the BSF authorities decided
not to send them to their families and
performed the last rites here this
afternoon with full state honours in
the presence of BSF chief Gurbachan
Jagat.
The bodies, mutilated beyond
recognition, were handed over to the
Indian authorities by Bangladesh
Rifles (BDR) late last night at a
checkpost near Boraibari along the
border with Assam.
A senior BSF officer said the bodies
bore “injuries with both sharp and
blunt instruments, burn marks and
profuse signs of acute physical
torture.”
Several of them had been “shot
through the eye after being tortured”,
he said, maintaining that “it is quite
possible that some of our boys might
have died because of sheer torture.”
“Tell- tale signs of boiling water having
poured on some of the soldiers was
evident from the fact that their skin
was peeling off,” he said, adding that
India has asked Bangladesh to
investigate how the BSF soldiers were
killed amidst reports that many of
them were lynched by a mob. PTI
