Pakistan and Bangladesh both were parts of British India separated along religious lines. Bangladesh witnessed biggest trauma due to partition. You were called Indians before 1947. After partition you got Pakistani identity but Bangladeshis were Indians till 1947, then Pakistani till 1971. After that we got Bangladeshi identity. Now if someone says he sees Bangladesh becoming part of India again by 2050 first his own Pakistan should remerge with India because If there was no Pakistan in 1947 there would have been no Bangladesh in 1971. So Pakistan's existence is a big issue.

There were several that revealed SM's Muslim League background and suspicions about India. He was quite clear that BD Hindus were generally more loyal to Hindu India than a BD born out of the Two Nation Theory. Lemme mention some:
a. SM's joining OIC summit at LHR despite strong opposition by Indira and pro-India elements in BD.
b. SM had set up the Islamic Foundation / Academy much to the disappointment of pro-India / pro-Hindu elements.
c. Apparently SM was not unhappy that PA had leveled up the Ramna Kali Mandir. No amount of pressure could move him to rebuild this.
