المنامة في 20 مايو / بنا / انطلقت خلال مطلع الأسبوع الجاري فعاليات التمرين المشترك "خالد بن الوليد 2014" والذي تنفذه قوة دفاع البحرين ممثلة بالقوة الخاصة الملكية وبمشاركة مجموعة من العمليات الخاصة بالقوات المسلحة لجمهورية مصر العربية الشقيقة، والذي يستمر إلى نهاية الأسبوع المقبل، حيث يشتمل التمرين على عدد من مراحل العمل العسكري الدفاعي المشترك، إضافة إلى التطبيقات العملية والمناورات التكتيكية، والعمليات الخاصة الميدانية، والعمل على زيادة التجانس بين قوات جيوش الدول العربية الشقيقة وإيجاد روح العمل المشترك الموحد لتبادل الخبرات وكسب التعاون المطلوب .

ويأتي تنفيذ هذا التمرين في إطار التعاون الدفاعي والعسكري والتنسيق المشترك بين القوات المسلحة وجيوش الدول الشقيقة والصديقة لتعزيز التعاون في المحافظة على أمن واستقرار وسلامة المنطقة، والذي بهدف إلى إثراء المفاهيم القيادية القتالية للقوات الخاصة المشاركة من البلدين الشقيقين، وصقلها، وتطويرها لاستيعاب متطلبات العمل العسكري المشترك لما له من أهمية ودور فاعل في رفع مستوى الكفاءة العسكرية والارتقاء بالجاهزية القتالية عن طريق تبادل الخبرات والمهارات العسكرية الميدانية مع القوات الشقيقة في كافة مجالات العمليات القتالية .

كما أن هذا التمرين يأتي ضمن سلسلة تمارين "خالد بن الوليد" المدرجة على جدول التدريبات السنوية والخطط التدريبية للقوة الخاصة الملكية ومنها تنفيذ التمارين المشتركة مع الوحدات الخاصة للدول الشقيقة والصديقة .

وبهذا تؤكد قوة دفاع البحرين على تحقيق المزيد من التكاتف والتآزر مع الأشقاء والارتقاء بمستويات الأداء القتالي لمختلف أسلحتها ووحداتها، من خلال كسب المزيد من الخبرات الدفاعية في إطار التعاون العسكري المشترك بين الأشقاء وذلك من خلال الاستمرار في عقد مثل هذه التمارين المشتركة .
