Bacha bazi: Afghan subculture of child sex slaves: AFP

The current Afghan govt consists of the people who practice it and would do everything to perpetuate this heinous crime so it is foolish to expect they will act against it.

It was actually the "evil" Taliban who condemned and banned this practice....and when they banned something, they really meant it and nobody would take chances against them.

Another of their "evil" acts was to ban the poppy-seed cultivation and thus depriving CIA of their large chunk of income and perhaps that may alone have been the reason for attack on Afghanistan.
You cannot defend the Taliban with these points. They have a motto, 'its our way or the highway' they are not flexible in their hardline ideology.
Tell me frankly will you live under Taliban rule?

You are mistaken. Those are the teachings of the quran, not the Taliban. (as per their own claim and the claims of their supporters)

The Taliban only follow the words of the quran to the book. The world "Taliban" itself mean "student of islam".

Lets give the devil its due where it is due. They were inflexible but most new systems are at first and become flexible with the passage of time. Islamophobic media painted them in far worse light than they actually deserved. Furthermore their particular solution was far the war torn country that has suffered for more than three decades of wars and civil wars. So in that context, their rule sounded like an oasis in the desert.

As an individual and if I was in Afghanistan, I may not have any problem under their rule since I hardly do anything in my normal life that would get them coming after me with guns...I don't drink, have illegal sex / drugs etc.. but I love my freedom and that may have not gone down well with them. BTW it is needless to say that there is a hell of a difference between Afghan Taliban and TTP, the latter is a bunch of criminals and murders who used religion to launch an anti-state and anti-humanity offensive.

Yvonne Ridley was captured by them as she entered their country illegally; a British woman...and today she has told a very different side of the story that the main stream media does not want us to know. You can search for her on Youtube and listen...because she dared to cross the border.

So I normally say "no" to Taliban in Pakistan or any other place but "yes" for Afghanistan because the societies are situations are entirely different. Something that's working perfectly here in states may not work at all in Pakistan.

Its so good to see people give the Devil its due.

I am sure the devil will be delighted to find such a fine spokesperson.

I love the part where you say that you prefer Taliban for afghanistan, but not for pakistan. They deserve it, you don't. Makes perfect sense.
