Avoid the #OSINT trap

.
what reasons were given?

language or false information or something else
Breaching twitter rules! What rules I breached , they didn't say. I am a bit annoyed because I had over 6 k followers by that time.

You can always appeal and at least find out the reasons, if not a ban reversal.

The problem is every tom dick and harry wants to act like a big shot and because of this they have no problem sharing sensitive information that could be disastrous to the security of their own country. I still remember that during the February crisis a lot of people shared info about convoy movement and air traffic without ever thinking about the possible implication of their foolishness.

what can I say, some people are so insecure and so much obsessed with Pakistan that they wont miss the chance to take a shot at us if they have a chance while working in a passport office or in an IT company that has public user profiles.

.
But it always helps to follow rules. Look at PDF's saga on Twitter as an example.
lolz, My legit and original personal facebook account got banned because I had abhi's bloody picture as dp. And it was taken down within hours. They didn't even gave chance to change it...they directly disabled my account. Rules and Regulations? Well they are targeting us...spin this as much as you like but this is the reality.

Did you not know that posting gruesome pictures is against the rules?

derserving a right out ban. Facebook didn't even gave chance for retraction and re-enabling by account. My instagram account also got disabled permanently due to closure of account.

Perhaps you missed this part:

"Graphic violence that “glorifies violence or celebrates the suffering or humiliation of others.”"

An officer shot down in combat deserves honorable treatment, wouldn't you agree?

But then again, this is not my problem as management of Facebook have the same right to run their platform as they see fit, just the same as you have the right to do the same on PDF.

Yes agreed, and I do respect him for his service to his country. However, That picture is not directed at him but towards India in general to remind them of their place.

Yes, true I guess...

I didn't. I am neither glorifying violence nor celebrating his humiliation...Infact, I believe his injuries and scars are his war trophies. He was serving his motherland and we all should acknowledge it. But I guess, the facebook management can't read my mind.

Let me just say that we have to play the game better in order to get our message across effectively. What we seem to be doing is clearly not working very well, except for our own internal audience while we continue to lose badly in the international arena.

Run for president then you can break all the rules and still keep your account.

No they don't, haven't you seen all the threads that if they ran PDF my/our way it would be perfect ;)
