Attack on checkpost in S Waziristan kills one security man, four militants

PESHAWAR: Militants ambushed a security checkpost in Ladha area of South Waziristan tribal region on Friday.

One security personnel was killed during the attack whereas retaliatory action by security forces killed four militants.

Ladha is a key subdivision of South Waziristan tribal region.

It's still going on, albeit at a slow pace.

Order of battle is being rearranged, troops being inducted and shifted.

Heavy casaulties at the hands of militants.
Media is silent because ISPR is silent, media is not allowed to access FATA so only source of news in FATA for media is ISPR which is not authentic...Pak army has no choice but to assume silence on operation because the initial leaks were drawing criticism on their performance, which demoralize troops.
They first soften up every inch of next kilometer through heavy artillary and air force , then ground troops crawl slowly, when they cover that kilometer, they again soften up the next kilometer for hours lol
If they succeeds after weeks , they would announce it without telling real casaulties..if they fail, they would silently retreat and nobody would even notice, no one is even talking about tirah operation, most even dont know...and it wouldnt be the first retreat, pak army has always retreated in waziristan whenever they suffered heavy casualties and made peace deals...

Pak army presence wont be permenant...when mehsuds return, they would soon get irritated by pak army presence...and TTP attacks would also intensify.

12 years later , its a different story ... the ttp got routed twice from swat , then from south waziristan then from bajaur

ttp today is reduced to offering peace deals themselves which has right fully been rejected by the army

the operation in tirah will be taken to it logical conclusion , the military can work more effectively where its not fighting with one hand tied behind the back

Its a standard guerilla fighting tactics. What i find funny is that these so called cowardly attackers are hailed as brave mujahiddin when they attack military and civilian targets in Afghanistan ... Kind of hypocritical.. No ?

Naxals fighting Indian army isnt bravery,because they are fighting army of their own country...
Same Naxals fighting Pakistan army will be bravery...

saying evey action has an equal reaction on the killing of the Pakistani prisoner in india after indian terrorist sarabjeet got killed while in the same instace declaring that that those are being bombed by america have no night to react is far more hypocritical
