There are lots of children in the RD Parade Audience every year, this is for them and they love it.....the feed-back has been consistently so. After all, the Republic has space for all; young and old alike.

Still its not worthy for a professional fighting force and has nothing to do with military traditions. Its rather embarrassing to see that while millions of people, including foreigners, are watching the parade.

Furthermore, there will be enough idiots out there who will try to do the same without even using helmets...
