It didn't answer anything. Children have been involved in such acts in other countries too, they weren't exposed to gore or anything it's just how they were. And if you really wanna argue about desensitization then animal slaughter s the least of it you have snuff and shock sites compared to which the formers childs play. Didn't need no religion there for violence to play out.The current laws in India are not sufficient to deal with such heinous crimes by children.
Religion was supposed to play the role of installing values and morals and ethics in them, but if it does not do that, then what good is it ?
And you must be kidding if you really think people take religion these days they don't. It's dog eat dog morals out the window people getting owned by their urges everything out of control, which is why we have laws and deterrents in place to prevent transgressions.
