Assad and FSA to start political talks to reconcile and end killing in Syria

.
And before Jan 1 russians will bomb the hell out of FSA to weaken their negotiation strength.

.
Too little too late. Israel and the west have already achieved their goal of weakening and destroying Syria. Even if Assad and FSA reach some kind of agreement, there will still be ISIS, Al nusra, and various other militants groups ruling chunks of Syrian territory and waging guerrilla war on the Syrian state.

Syria was never strong enough or in a position to challenge Israel.
Unfortunately like most of the arab leaders around him. The gov os syria expended her resources and energy in oppressing her own people and screwing up the neighbors.
Even the Israelis want asad to stay as per Manu of them best man for the job.

And what were the other Arab countries doing when Egypt and Syria took on Israel in 1973? If all Arabs fought, Israel would have lost.

no such thing as FSA, they're all disgusting saudi wahhabi jihadis.. Assad and Russia should keep bombing them till none are left standing.

USA & Israel does not wait until a country is strong enough to oppose them. They put the motions into gear before the country has even the chance of being a threat.

Syria was growing stronger day by day and helping the resistance to western imperialism. Assad used to be the most popular leader in the Arab world. Before 2011, I remember no one EVER mentioning Sunnia/Shia when it came to Syria. Syria was very supportive of Hezbollah resisting Israel and helping Palestinians. With Iran, it was one of the few countries in the M.E. that did not host a US military base.

In a few years, America & Israel were successful in many of its aims. Two of the biggest gains was to turn Assad into an unpopular leader and second, to create sectarian differences.

Unfortunately, Muslims like you easily fell into that trap.

Try to be objective, and go back before 2011. Try to remember how you and your friends and your family viewed Syria & Assad. Then try to understand how perfectly America & Israel achieved their objective.

Even if the war ends today, the damage has been done. The resistance against western imperialism has been weakened.

Both in the Yom Kippur war and the 6 day war the Arabs experimented with all their strenght-and failed. Since then they have refused to challenge Israel at all and are even keen to make deals with them. Jordan Syria Egypt Lebanon all fought and lost vast amounts of territory to them.

Actually Iraqi and Jordanian armies saved Assad's butt in 1973.

Aslan, I have read your posts, and you have good principles, and I think the west makes use of such principles. The way they work is to put traps for us and our leaders are not smart enough not to fall in such traps. Assad had a lot of weaknesses, similar to other leaders in the past that they got rid of. The west exploits these weaknesses, and then they push us to fight against each other.

We should stand united against the west, not because leaders like Assad are the best, but because we shouldn't help the west to throw countries like Syria into chaos and war, turn our youths into extremism, cause sectarian conflicts, and not only damage our region's stability, but also our religion, and most of all, our self-esteem.

U will stand united with me. Trust me I will with u. Let Allah be our judge. But the problem is u and I are irrelevant. These Fucking politicians are killing us.

I will tell u something tom if the deal happens and all agree to it. 6 months down the road same Assad will be standing with some king here or a president there doing a photo session. And 300k dead will all be forgotten in between smiles and flash of the cameras.

And trust me this ad don't have the wellbeing of his own in his heart either. It's not a problem with him Ira the currouptiin elite everywhere. Let it be ur politicians or religious leaders or ours.
They don't care for us all who are fighting on this forum and the ground. Because we are not theirs kids who are dying or suffering.

And what happens if you hang Assad and his children like a dog in the streets? Is that the preferred way? Would Syria's problems be resolved, and then Syria will be a pinnacle of justice and stability? Will that mean Syria in 2016 be better than Syria in 2010?

I agree partly here but the US and Israel did not have to do anything to turn Assad unpopular. When a leader does not know when to give up power and uses force against his own people just to stay in power he has crossed a great red line. I think there are better ways for Iran's power projection than to support a repressive regime in Syria. Its giving Iran a bad reputation as well as Hezbollah by supporting Bashar Al Assad in Syria. Bashar should know when it is time to give up power. Undemocratic regimes should go and pave the way for equal rights for all. It is a huge flaw in our muslim countries that we do not ensure an egalitarian united and equal nation and are under the control of arrogant mullahs.

In short I would even like a change of government in Iran as well. I do however support the foreign policy Iran has against the Americans and their evil work. That is something I surely appreciate.
