Asia Bibi's acquittal: TLP protests in various cities across Pakistan

Those from india and west who are encouraging govt and army to kill protestors will provide them with weapons to fight army once civil war starts here in Pakistan like they did in Middle East .Govt should avoid use of force to please u.s as they are playing on both sides
Pathetic remarks.. Who will come here to invest in presence of these sence less mullas in the country? Do you still think we can progress with these morons? We should ban TLP and jailed them for thretneing judges PM and COAS.. How dare any one even try to challenge these institutions and govt rit?

it happens every where in india it is much worst than us but they hide it and people invest there. The problem is that we are projecting our negative behavior to the world ourselves and when p.m ik highlight such things in his address it project negative aspect of Pakistan in world

The problem is lot bigger then Lal Masjid or even MQM. Lal Masjid was just limited to one mosque in Islamabad. MQM was restricted to Karachi. However TLP has support across the country. We don't know the depth of that support. But for sure TLP will have vast number of people in Pakistan who share similiar sentiments. Many have become drones and all they need to be told is 'blasphemy' and they go berserk. What we now are facing is the nightmare that Obama talked about. That is Pakistan imploding.

What we must be acutely aware is that the views held by TLP are quite common in Pakistan. The government must tread with extreme caution. The problem is if force was used what if units sent to carry this out mutinied? This is where Gen. Bajwa will be concerned. Ever since Gen. Zia religion has permeated the army. Those soldiers come from the same strata of society who are crying for Asia Bibi's blood. They could very easily turn against their officers. Indeed TLP have already inciting mutiny. This is very, very dangerous time for Pakistan.

The army was cleared of any and all such elements during Musharraf's era.

Exactly its going to get worse before it gets any better. We won the military battle against the Taliban but the war against extremism has been a loss with the state giving away more space every year.

There have been mutinies within the Army like in 71. At that point Bengali soldiers having an emotional attachment to their ethnicity.

No reason this can't happen again , this time the core reason being religious instead of ethnic.

Religion fires up your average Pakistani more than any other thing.

I think the situation is analagous to being a captain of a ship and you know the crew are liable to mutiny if you push them and your out at sea. You can't replace the crew. So you have to ever so cautiously command the crew being aware not to push too far and lose command. You know how the world worries about Pakistani nukes. This is the scenario for the fear. That is why Pakistan is considered as fragile state. Ruling Pakistan is like walking with 10 water melons balanced on your head. Any abrupt move will bring them crashing down. That is why all too often the Pakistani state follows the path of least resistence. We now know why PM IK back tracked over the Atif Mian issue. That would have caused a mass anti- Ahmedi hysteria and with the release of Asia Bibi we would have certainly seen the collapse of the Pakistani state. As the hysteria of anti Ahmedi would meet the hate of Asia Bibi being released it would set into motion mass protests in the country. The army would be on the streets but faced with mass crowds, calling the soldiers "kaffirs" or "blasphemers" or "Yehodi Bachay" we would begin to see desertions in the ranks, In this situation all it would take is a officer [colonel/brigadier] who also shares the same feeling to jump sides and we would begin to see the contours of a civil war emerging. This would be doomsaday scenario. I think it for this reason the state takes it easy.

Religion fires up your average Pakistani more than any other thing.
The irony being that it is our elite to made the masses like this for their own political needs. Now it has turned into Frankenstien monster.

And on another note I think Prime Minister IK is a marked man after the speach he gave yesterday. I just hope he has no closet Qadri's in his security detail or we might get Taseer V2.

. . .
Like General Rasheed Dostum of the "Communist" Uzbek militia of Afghanistan did in some parade ground!

I saw Imran Khan's speech as reported in Dawn: He rightly gave stern warning to these thugs. Haraamkhors should be severely dealt with if they go beyond peaceful protests! If Pakistan security forces can cleanup North Waziristan then they can surely cleanup Lahore and Karachi of these scums. Makes my blood boil to even look at this Khadim Rizvi Jahil Mullah!!

Seriously though, just when we thought Pakistan was getting some peace these asshole Mullahs get a strange itch to start rioting and causing mayhem again. Why can't these people ever talk about peace and social work for the poor of Pakistan? Why are they always shouting and giving death threats? These idiots would be destroyed if they did the same shit somewhere else.
