It is the oldest and most widely recognized Quality award in the world.

(Tata trucks and buses needs frequent maintenance and change of parts. But, in north India, they use recycled spares or spurious parts to run these trucks and hence a hit there. Leyland is class.)
The smooth traveling experience in AshLey Viking chassis is memorable.

The old Ashok Leyland Vikings with AL370/480 Engines are the same 60's British Leylands. No power steering, no turbo, no ABS, no waveller/air suspensions. That roaring...Nostalgia. (You can spot a vintage JEEP also in this video)

Tata used to have partnership with Benz. They took over Daewoo buses and trucks division and got ToT. Tata is improving. But, Tata and Mahindra experiences tells me, they are Jugaar companies.
