What's new

As a Christian, suddenly I am a stranger in my own country, writes Julio Ribeiro

Look what you wrote is really F***ing Bhakt Fauj. Since he was a good police officer, should I buy his communal angle on any incident?

If a christian man rape a Hindu lady and i will write a same article, Would you and other pseudo secular support that? Or Hindu ladies are not rapped and this is a first incident of rape? The actual culprit are TMC and Communist party worker. However target is Narendra Modi and Hindutva vadi forces. If an ordinary person talk like this, it can be understood but this idiot happened to be a top corp. This is called communal angle which people like you do not understand and say others F***ing Bhakt Fauj.

Here the question is that if Julio rebero is not a communal minded fellow, Why he gets offended when nun is raped and not when any Hindu lady is rapped? One simple question should be asked to him. In your tenure any Hindu lady was raped or not? If yes, had you felt the same pain what you experienced today? If no you are a communal. If yes, why did you not speak out at that time?

Julio Ribeiro is not referring to the nun rape case at all. Referring to a feeling of alienation within the Christian community. You can disagree & argue but calling him names is unfair.

Julio Ribeiro was an outstanding police officer. his opinions always count for something. but he is 86 years old. i wonder how much he is in touch with reality

Look, What is happening to christian is not because they are christians. When you try to create an enmity between brothers, You try to grab land on the name of religion, you try to insult other religion to propagate your eveil design and you witness some reaction or resistance, it is not the fault of others. I have met many Christians who shall always try to impress you with Christianity and try to convert you. Their history is full of eveil like burning the women naming her witch. Better we get rid of them. Mr. Rebero must be bought to public domain for discussion and exposed.

.
We applaud the service Mr. Julio done to this country..... But your one side criticism is not fair n plz be vocal about what is being done in the name of evangelism by the churches with the help of pseudo secular n foreign funding ....

Little wonder that you find Julio Ribeiro communal.............Helps if you look in the mirror sometime.

.
Sr.Julio saab should go and talk to the bishops and priests as to why this is happening?

If mr riviera feel the way he does, than he must be feeling a sea of change in India when it comes to religious tolerance. He is 86 year old and in his life time that spans longer than the life of Indian Union, somethings happening now must have made him speak up. It's best to listen to a man of age and experience than to dismiss him and disregard his opinions.

Attack on Christians: PM Modi seeks report on West Bengal, Haryana incidents | Zee News
Last Updated: Tuesday, March 17, 2015 - 12:14

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed 'deep concern' over the incidents of brutal gang-rape of a 71-year-old nun in West Bengal and church vandalism in Haryana, and has sought immediate reports from the state governments.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) took to Twitter and said, “PM is deeply concerned about the incidents in Hisar, Haryana and Nadia, West Bengal.”

"PMO has asked for immediate report on facts & action taken regarding the incidents in Haryana & West Bengal."

The alleged gang-rape of an elderly nun at a convent at Gangnapur in Nadia district by dacoits had shocked the nation. The CCTV footage has also revealed the faces of the accused.

While the police has detained 10 people in connection with the case, no arrests have been made so far.

Angry protesters blocked the cavalcade of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday when she visited the Ranghat sub division where the incident had taken place.

Meanwhile, 14 people have been booked and an FIR has been registered after an under-construction church was vandalised in Haryana's Hisar district.

The miscreants had also placed an idol of a Hindu god inside the church on March 6.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that guilty will be punished.

Seems like Christians on both sides of the border are having a hard time.

.
Christians themselves should speak against this conversion cr@p by missionaries and otherwise, other than this Christians are mostly progressive and tolerant

He admitted he was exaggerating. However there is a change within the Christian community itself. Julio Ribeiro is from a time when Christians would be primarily catholic and who largely had very friendly relations with their non-Christian neighbours, most of the conversions happening pre-Independence. The arrival of pentecostal denominations with their aggressive proselytizing caused a lot of friction, especially in the last couple of decades. Whereas previously they had no opposition from organised Hindu groups, the arrival of groups like the VHP who were equally well funded changed the scenario. With the christian groups trying hard to convert & the Hindu groups launching equally well funded campaigns to prevent it, the relationship between the communities have suffered as the friction & flash points have increased. In any face off, the minority communities always feel more vulnerable simply because of the sheer size difference . Julio Ribeiro is right that Christians feel vulnerable but the reasoning of why that is the case is incomplete in his argument.

Haan ji aur hum buddh, sikh, hindu to yahaan par tourist aaye hain na!

Typical fake victim mentality.

Look at the amount of illegal bible printing caught in Andhra recently for mass conversions in poor villages. Mass conversions are illegal in India. Just because some politicians suck up to US for funds doesn't mean we will let it happen unchecked.

As the PM said, "TOLERANCE HAS TO CUT BOTH WAYS".
