ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism Court issued orders for the police to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Monday.
Police representative at the court said that the compliance of Imran Khan's and Dr Qadri’s warrants did not occur. Inspector Yaseen Bhutta submitted the compliance report at the court. The court had issued non-bail able arrest warrants for both party chiefs. The report stated that Imran’s security guard stationed at his residence was not aware of the PTI chief’s whereabouts. The police report also stated that the arrest warrant for Qadri was also not complied with.
Proceedings for the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Asmatullah Junejo assault case was postponed till July 25.
