The US should face reality...just like Afghanistan that after 20 years and billions spent they had to sneak out in the middle of nite from their base...the same will happens in Iraq and Syria...occupying other people's lands does not work in this day and age...leave Iraq and Syria now and save a lots of money and lives..stay and be humiliated over and over ..the people of region are just tired of them trying to secure their beloved illegitimate Israel...how many lives has to be ruined to keep them in the middle east..it is probably economically cheaper if they settle them in let's say Oregon or Alaska as was the original plan.

Is that why the Americans are sitting in the negotiation table instead of attacking the nuclear program directly? US, UK, France have given up and have finally legitimized Iran's nuclear program by negotiating with it. That doesn't sound like a country with supreme leverage.

That's not the point, it has reached a level of sufficient deterrence that has allowed for "sitting at the table", otherwise they'd be done with it like any other peasant state by bombing it as we've seen in the last 30 years. They bombed Libya for a lot less. Anyone with a nuclear program has been bombed as a matter of fact. They will never treat middle eastern nations with any sort of respect. They allow for Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea to have a nuclear program though. Nuclear program with international legitimacy is a small club and no middle eastern nation is allowed in. I'm just saying, if it was easy as you say it is, they would've finished the job years ago. Obviously, things are complicated and dangerous.
