I know it's a very complicated issue and that there are literally rivers of bad blood flowing on both sides but if we were to adjust our scopes slightly and look at the bigger picture, do the major third parties (US, China and Russia) in this conflict actually stand to gain by fueling this conflict further ?

as I see it:
the US has shifted it's stance to slightly pro India lately but they still arm both sides, India's traditional ally, Russia, has meanwhile reached out to Pak and offered to sell military equipment, China has never put it's full weight behind Pakistan in any Ind/Pak war to date, besides, their defense industry is yet to mature and their products still can't match up to the US/Russian goods but eventually I think they would like to sell to and profit from India as well...

I want to ask users of this forum a simple yes or no question...

opportunism bhi koi cheez hoti hai.. scope adjust karo, thoda socho aur fir vote karo

It's Saazish - Now don't say that it's conspiracy of foreign powers which made Indians to pronounce words annoyingly wrong.
eheh, beat me to it :sarcastic:

and it's not about a conspiracy of foreign powers, that's like saying the US created ISIS, which they clearly didn't, but they continue to profit off of it's existence

No foreign power needed, we Pakistanis just hate the Indians. They can be forgiven if they resolve the Kashmir issue.

I don't disagree that one is right to be cynical when it comes to international relations and I would certainly suggest that the West are and will continue to perpetuate a cycle of mistrust and resentment between India and China. It is abundantly clear that an India and China alliance/understanding would be the force to be reckoned with on the global stage and would dilute the West's clout on the international stage greatly.

However, I believe the India-Pakistan equation is VERY different. The India-Pakistan tension/hostilities can be, largely, blamed on the high echelons of the Pakistan Army- these are the guys who have an enormous vested interest in perpetuating the Indo-Pak hostilities. I don't see what there is to be gained for anyone outside of the Pak Army as India is certainly no longer looking at Pakistan in the same way, it is almost considered a nuisance these days more than an existential threat, and what are China and the US gaining? An unstable Pakistan is actually harmful to the US's and China's long term interests and both have stated as much. Yes China would like to contain India where possible but they are aware that Pakistan is only going to be able to harass India- at best- and the instability Pakistan is fuelling in some of China's provinces simply isn't suited to China's interests.

CIA and Mosad coud be the Behrooni Taqaten responsible for the rift.

It is a combination of

1) Pakistani hatred towards India and its existence, based on religious ideologies(doctrine) and the need to expand.

2) Foreign powers using this hatred to fuel unrest in this region.

When British left Indian Sub continent, they divided it in such a way that suits their doctrine. The result of that is what we see today between the nations.
