The extended validity period of the price quoted by Boeing is ending this month.

Meanwhile, Russia wants to manufacture 200 Kamov Ka 226 light helicopters in India. According to Russian Helicopters, the military version of light multi-mission helicopter Ka-226T is designed for operation in hard-to-reach highland conditions, warm climate and oversea, reconnaissance, targeting and monitoring, cargo transportation (up to 1,500 kg), transportation of 7 troopers or service personnel.
These helicopters are desperately needed to replace the ageing Cheetah fleet which services one of the world's highest military deployments on the Siachen glacier.

"The deal for Apache and Chinook (helicopters) has been cleared," government sources said.
The CCS met after a Cabinet meeting, they said.
Many in the defence sector had expected the deal, valued to be over $2.5 billion and pending since 2013 following finalisation of cost negotiations, to be signed during the visit of US Defence SecretaryAshton Carter in June this year.

apache longbows will help us a lot in anti armour ops.Whereas Chinook's will be useful for Special Forces ops inside Pakistan and China.
