Meanwhile there is no harm in sharing profit and India did not say that they cannot develop their own version. Infact they will be more in Profit since it will cost them only half.

bottomline why Russia need to buy Brahmos when they have Yakhont either land, air or sub launched version. And that's not true about your statement about profit: with Yakhont, when Russian military will pay domestic price, if they buy Brahmos, they will have to pay the price agree amount India and Russian company which export price...and generally export price is much much higher than domestic price...that partially explain why Brahmos~ $2.73million & Yokhont~$1.12 million per unit !

Brahmos is costlier because it is more advance, it is light, smaller and can be stored longer and safer , etc. For submarine launched version Brahmos will be best suited. It is simple. Even if they produce a submarine launch version of Yankhot they have to take technology from Brahmos and it will cost them same. Wouldnt it be better to share cost and develop from already existing.

Umm no offense meant but you didn't exactly say something which could be given a counter argument except by saying similar things about Chinese, considering this, his response was the best anyone could have given you. Never expected such trolling from you. It has been a stated policy of Russian Military acquisiton to acquire weapons of Domestic produce only. On certain items they can't even change the policy. That is the reason Brahmos could not be inducted by them.

Possibly, but Brahmos Block 1 is entirely terrain hugging in it's trajectory, and was fielded as an anti-ship missile. While Block 2 is equipped with pulse doppler Surface Aperture Radar to follow the contour of the land surface at an height og 20-30 meters above the surface.

The only time they went for big ticket purchase were the two Mistral class ships, and even that made the Domestic industry go ape $hit and so they now are again tightening the screws. As people are saying its not about the money but stated policy.

okay I did not know about the state policy but the argument was Brahmos is a cheap Quality Missile and for this reason they are not buying. They failed in the argument after comparing it to Yakhont and etc etc and then came up the cost factor.
