Wouldn't the taller than mountain friend be the right country to approach- especially since it has cotton from Occupied Eastern Turkestan, which it cannot readily sell in the world market?

China would not help when Mil-Establishment and the PDM govt. are the lapdogs of the US, If they have taken a principled strong stand and resisted US pressure of a regime change China would have helped.

Actually not a bad concept. A seperate line for import cum exporters. No issue of embezzlement of funds or exchange rate manipulation sh**.
And guaranteed return.
Specific loan to specific sectors only. And direct deduction on realization of LCs.
But i highly doubt this is possible or even legal. Never heard of it happening anywhere.

There is something called ExIm Bank that finances U.S. exporters and foreign importers. If the contract is so worked out that the Pakistan manufacturers buy cotton grown or processed in U.S. and export garments or textiles to U.S., Exim may be able to finance it if it finds private loans are not available as is the case now. But it is a fairly complex process, and the big roadblock is IMF concluding Pakistan's bookkeeping is not up to par. That would create political difficulties for Exim since they may be asked how you will ensure money is not misused.
