Yasen is 4-5 times the tonnage of amur,thats the problem.



We have nothing even remotely comparable to this at this time.
Piparav is busy,,,the point is to make 2 things in a span of 1.

Plus it comes with poleiment 4 sided aesa radar like mf star,,we have no system comparable to it.



Its a conscious decision by india,,,we are a poor country looking for serious investment.
Tell me what would pakistan do if given choice??

Fact of the matter is that India has a lot of brown people, who have managed to salvage some money.

Now, that money needs to be taken back to where it came from; and brown people will be made to serve interests.

Very poor analysis,,its not like this.
The fact is only west and middle east has the ability to invest seriously in india.So naturally we have to choose the best path for the upliftment of our people.

BTW, you can order same MF-STAR for low tonnage frigates. Israeli has no problem in supplying them. And Groskov has no good radar as MF-STAR.

But we have to look at capability too.The talwar class is simply nothing compared to this in ew.Plus designis simply way superior.

Till p17a comes we can add 1-2 of these frigates to boost the number.

Nope,bro, The Pipavav and L&T already designed a 3000-4000 tonne frigate. You have easy access to MF-STAR, you have BrahMos access, you have Barak access.

Why go foreign, if you have all the access of top class weapon domestically, and I can guarantee you Pipavav crying for frigate orders. Because if they able to build a frigate with MF-STAR, BrahMos and Barak-8 for IN, then it will be huge success for Pipavav.

Then they can enter in foreign market too.

With the on going Rouble trouble I dont think there would be any respite to the above mentioned issues.

Because, Indian Navy dont want anymore Talwar like frigates, even if they equipped with MF-STAR or Barak-8. They want P-17A, and this ship already in pipeline, maybe Pipavav get orders of some last P-17A, with the help of MDL.

See thats the problem,,they have awarded all those p17a to mazgaon and gsre.
Piparav itself has no competing design to this frigate which i believe is easily one of the best in the world.
