An open letter to His Excellency Mr Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, UAE

he is a troll. why are you wasting your energy

If you do not consider this a diplomatic mess up which has divided your country opinion and alienated several of your friends, good for you. If Pakistan now does decide to join the Yemen war, the world will look at it as weak and as being pressured by its Arab masters.

.
This is a win-win for India :pop:

Greater win if diplomacy channels breakthrough and Pakistan's economy collapses after Saudi's stop biggest source of Pakistan's GDP - terrorism repatriations :D
Just how much money do you think they give us? Hint its not much.

.
Has anybody tried to send this letter to all the Embassies of the Arab states in Islamabad? This letter should also be displayed on those embassies Facebook/twitter pages. These "Royal" jerks need to know that they can bribe the corrupt elements like Nawaz Shareef in our country but 'We the Pakistani people , know their reality and this facade of "MUSLIM FRATERNITY" ain't foolin us'

Pak army not going in yemen, neither paf doing bombings in yemen. Decision in no and arabs know that

there's more than 8 billion dollars a year worth of remittances coming in from arab countries...mess that up and bye bye pakistani economy...

besides the nation has eaten grass for this army for more than 6 decades...It's time we put it out on rent and get some return on our investment...Maybe even sell some of it to arab countries...

and that is a good move by Pakistan since the Yemen conflict has nothing to do with you and would simply be an economic drain. However, the perception among the Arab countries is that "if you're not on our side, you're the enemy" and they are now accusing you of siding with Iran. Perception matters in international diplomacy.

They cant stop the remittances till our expats are there. They can only deport them which would be crippling themselves

not exactly...they can get them all removed immediately...it's not even an issue...and it won't be crippling to them at all...Workers are available in bulk, there's no shortage of workers of all levels of skills anywhere around the world. other countries like india, bangladesh, sri lanka, philipines etc etc will probably not miss that opportunity...

Mujhay baki to patta nahin' parr ally teri amma g hogi arbon kee!

Its not that there is a shortage of workers its the time it will take to hire them and train them which will have very adverse effects on their economy

Good for you.... slowly but surely, all Arab pets are coming out of hibernation...... member since 2009, and you grace us with your presence just to police Arab interests. Excellent work.

Its saudi perception, not the internstional perception. But any way saudis have no other option. Uncle sam or pak. No third options. Thats their limitation.

They cant fight wars and they know that. Bombing in yemen is a blunder ,its a naked reality.

It's not just the Saudi's this time but the entire coalition of Arab countries that are entering the Yemen conflict. All of them are of the Arab league and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, besides being rich.

okay....2 months ? 3 months ? something like that...? maybe salaries need to go up slightly even....no big deal for arabs, they've got money and deep hatred for pakistanis....getting rid of pakistani workers will be easy for them...they are already toughening up visa requirements anyways.....

On the other hand for pakistan, it's a matter of rozi roti of MILLIONS...The government simply cannot risk that...Imagine these millions coming back to pakistan penniless and looking for jobs, do you have any idea how much the unemployment rate will shoot up ? No ? Neither do I and I don't wanna find out either....The money pakistan brings in from these countries is too much to be risked....Pakistan can run a huge current account deficit if they mess up relations with arabs right now...And pakistan simply doesn't have the upper hand here...This is the reality my friend...."beggars" like pakistan don't have the option of not listening to more powerful states who have it by its balls....

Good for you.... slowly but surely, all Arab pets are coming out of hibernation...... member since 2009, and you grace us with your presence just to police Arab interests. Excellent work.

Read the post above....

I mostly go into the economics section...I don't talk politics, I don't like governments, I'm a libertarian...I don't do India vs Pakistan, Pak vs World, Pak vs GCC, Pak vs this , Pak vs that sort of stuff...I'm not into politics...Just pointed out the fact that pakistan does not have the upper hand in this, especially considering that the economy isn't exactly in that great a shape in first place...

they can reduce the number of pakistani workers in a gradual manner

Yes,we can counter that in many ways(stop sending them food) but by that time this all will have passed and they would want something else from us
