Not really, This is all domestic politics and intended for domestic consumption. All Muslim Bengalis are referred to as Bangladeshis now. This is the process of "otherization".

In India, we live far away from West Bengal, but every Muslim Bengali in our area is now treated like an illegal immigrant. My own Hindu friends assume that any Bengali speaking Muslim is an illegal immigrant and deserves to be sent to a detention camp.

So when the time comes and the Indian Muslims do get marched off to detention camps, majority of India will shrug their shoulders and look the other way because all those being sent are "Bangladeshis". This is already happening in Assam.

Obviously Muslim West Bengalis are easiest to confuse with Bangladeshis. The average Northern cow belt Hindi speaking Hindutvadi Indian is not bothered with the differences between the chaste Murshidabad dialect verses the Faridpur Barisal dialect . Moreover they don't even care that a good portion of West Bengali Muslims from Kolkata, Asansol, Burdwan, Howrah are actually bi-lingual or even tri-lingual who can read write and speak Bengali, Hindi and Urdu in all three scripts.

There is even a minuscule elite West Bengali Muslim bhodralok in Kolkata who are called the Jalpaiguri nawabs basically remnants of the old Muslim zamindar tea plantation owners who owned prime real estate in Darjeeling, Kurseong Siliguri etc.
These West Bengali Muslim zamindars survived Partition because their assets were in the mountains where the communal virus penetrated far less. These elite West Bengali Muslims invested in the tea business, facing off the Naxalite menace from 1969-1971.
Pakistan's Civil War and the fluid border next door was a tremendous challenge but they mostly held their own. Being Bengali speakers ( though actually bi-lingual) was an advantage.

There were other pure Bengali speaking West Bengali Muslim elite, like Abdul Gani Khan Chowdhury from Malda who had a lobby in the old Indira Gandhi Congress Party.

The West Bengali Muslim bhodralok got a respite during the long spell of secular rule under the CPM with stalwarts such as Saifuddin Soz.
Now the saffron wave is affecting the West Bengali Muslim elite, so they have quietly disposed off their rural assets and are centered in Kolkata hoping to ride out the storm.
Their future now appears bleak, though even now they are jumping ship and latching on to the BJP taking care to emphasize their bi-lingual status.

Driven by a combination of factors such as sectarian communal politics, climate change and population pressures, illegal infiltration from Bangladesh is a problem for India.

(a) There are Hindus leaving due to communal violence, mostly from poorly administered remote rural regions.

(b) Muslims fleeing depletion of their agricultural lands due to erosion and climate change effects.
Or simply overpopulation ( 2400 + per sq.km )

(c) Buddhists ( Chakma tribals) fleeing sectarian violence with Bengali Muslim settlers in the CHT.
