Amir Khan versus Canelo Alvarez fight

Bhai, I said 6 World Cups besides 2 Champions Trophies. We are a team of big occasion. Look at the list again, we have won two World Cup of 50 overs, 1 T20 World Cup and 3 U-19 World Cup.

Where is your team in Snooker, our team is rNked no. 8th in Snooker. Your team is at 18th.

Check here:
http://www.snookerdatabase.co.uk/CountryRankings.aspx

In Billiards, our Team dominates like your dominated Squash.

Present World Champion is Pankaj Advani of India. We won World Billiards Championships in 2015, 2008,2007,2005,2002,2001, 1990,1987,1985,1983,1981, 1977,1958,1954!!!

If you say that in today's time nobody is dominating in cricket then you must be sleeping. Ask your own countrymen about your team's performances against India.

Your team is playing club level cricket for past many years. It is 9th out of 10 recognized playing nations!

In Kabaddi, India has won all World Titles and Asian Games titles till date!! Your team won its first Asian title against India just 2 days back. You won last Asia Title after India forfeited 2012 finals due to partiality of your referees.

Champions trophy is not world cup. The only world cups are the t20 and 50 over ones .

Tendulkar came in 1989 . Pakistan dominated india till 2003 world cup . 80s and 90s was a nightmare time to be an indian fan . In today's time no one is dominating . And i did count baseball , kabaddi and snooker to you .

This is not Bollywood. This is real life and sometimes you lose. When and if anybody from the 1.2 billion pool of Indian's or of Indian extraction achieves half of what Amir Khan has - let us know.

*I mean real life and not some movie.
okkk... :)

it wasn't just lack of fitness with the added bulk, but Canelo's bodyshots did huge damage in the early rounds that caused Khan to lose stamina in the 5th and 6th round. You can even see after the 4th round Khan started protecting his body more and had a few weird moments of having his hands down. It's a big difference between bodyshots from a 147lbers and a heavy hitting 175lber. All these commentators praising Khan for his early rounds of hitting and moving ignored the importance of Canelo's bodyshots.

Khan has a big ego, he really believes his own hype, he really believes that Pacquiao and Mayweather ducked him lol.
I agree with your first paragraph. however may weather and pacquiao both avoided Khan that is a fact, and every boxer has to have an ego

Exactly.
Who has Canelo fought that is a true middleweight in the top rankings? NO ONE.
From Hatton to Mosley, Trout, Khan among others, all rose from welterweight.
He gets the easy championship matches only because of the corrupt governing bodies who know Canelo draws more Hispanic audiences and PPV views. Like against the aging and way past his prime Cotto where he came in hydrated 20 pounds over him on fight night. Just like now where he wants GGG to drop weight for catch weight even though he will easily outweigh GGG too, that fukcing duck and his team just want an undue advantage over GGG.
He is just a paper champion until he fights GGG, Lemieux, Eubank etc.

give the guy a chance, he has only just won the world middleweight title, the Khan fight was his first defence. cut the guy some slack, ggg time will come

.
Khan has balls of steel. Taking on the world champion of TWO DIVISIONS above you takes huge guts.

Knock out was always on the cards.

Khan would go down as one of another great Muslim boxing champions along with Ali, Tyson, Prince Nasim etc etc
Why you want them go DOWN let him go up. Naam roshan karne do

.
He was in wrong location , right in path of "Hey Maker" quite a blinding speed

Hey makers can take out any one , if a lucky punch lands on "side of head" bending the neck , the hit effects your nerve impulses going to your legs which results in immediate collapse

I was hit by a "Ball' soccer ball in game once side of head , immediately lost control over legs and arms and was on ground , after I got up I was confused why did I lost control of my body

If the hit hits directly to face's front the damage can be absorbed (Chin)
it wasn't a haymaker it was a trap that canelo had laid, and Khan fell into the trap and paid the price. that's what canelo does. Khan and his team are guilty of not executing the game plan but that is boxing,

.
Boxing is cruel.
No one can bear Punch if given at right place no matter how powerful

Let make it romantic :flame::D.

Viraat Kohli... ohh that would be 11 on 1. sorry wrong discussion post.

Several things here.

I'm sorry but his father who manages him and his trainer i.e. Virgil Hunter should have stopped this fight from happening. I know it was probably Amir due to his headstrong ways, but this was the mother of all bad match-ups. It just wasn't possible for Amir to fight a guy who would outweigh by over a stone, and who is one of the hardest punchers in the game. You can't simply move up the lbs ladder and hope to be the same, it does't happen. I've been there (not boxing), moved up and it took time for my power to build again from what is was.

As for the fight. Yes he did move around and stick him, which did confuse Canelo but he knew deep down he would wilt in the later rounds . No one yet has mentioned how tired Amir looked in the fifth round. He was sucking air folks. When the sixth started, his legs were slow, the movement was gone and he was dropping his hands, which is the greatest cardinal error a trainer tells you never to indulge in, and that's when you first walk into the gym, not when you have been a pro for a decade. Amir did take some solid shots from Canelo, and his chin is ok, just not great. But again his body couldn't take the wear and tear and he succumbed as many had feared.

What now for him? I'm sorry to say this but he should seriously think of a few lesser fights and just finish up. The blow he took had a great deal of force behind it and he was out cold for a couple of minutes. Severe concussions like that finish off what punch resistance a boxer has. There are so many examples of this, one being Roy Jones. I don't want to see him slurring his words, just look at Riddick Bowe, James Toney, Tommy Hearns etc, the latter two I have met in person and I was shocked to see their deterioration. That is no way for once proud and powerful men to live.

As for Canelo, I don't blame him for not having fought the Golovkin. He simply has no answer to the fight that triple G will bring to him. Canelo relies on power and forward movement, something which will have him meet the steel willed and fisted Golovkin head-on, which will result in him following what happened to Khan. He can't outbox him, as Golovkin came from an excellent amateur pedigree, a silver medalist olympian, world champion, who shows true ring craft. What has astounded me is the level of punishment he can take. I've seen shots hit him, when he was unaware and he just walked through them. The man is a beast personified. But hey, it will still be good to see the two meet.

boxing is a game of spatial negotiation, most people see two guys throwing hell for leather and see nothing beyond that. ring generalship counts for everything and the fight is to negotiate every inch of that canvas. Kahn did well and negotiated the ring and canelo well for the first few rounds, however as canelo inched closer Khan lost the range and canelo worked the body hard, hence why his hands came down to protect the body.

what Khan should have done and in my eyes didn't do well at that stage was to tag canelo hard every time he came into khans range and move out(may weather did this very well against canelo) I.e get canelos respect that every time he came into khans zone the would be stung hard and make canelo aware of this problem. what happened instead was let the 180lb canelo bang his body, bring his hands down and then ultimately feint to go to the body and hit him with the overhead right hand and game over .

irrespective I still rate Khan to have the cojones to take this fight, and they all believed Khan could win and if he believed it too then kudos too him

That is not why I'm ranting, its about abusing your status.
Canelo and his team very well know that he is in a very advantageous position, as he is be one of the most profitable if not the most profitable proboxer in the world(which is why they want GGG to drop weight to the welterweight level even when they are fighting for the middleweight belt, how unfair is that?). Golden Boy Prom. are just milking the fact that Canelo has the belt somehow and are going to fight as many weaker opponents as they can before fighting the top 10 middleweight fighters who have been in the middleweight category for a long time. See the Hispanic people and Canelo nut huggers will watch his matches regardless of them being with mismatched opponents and give the promoters and the governing body a really good payout. The way WBC harassed Miguel Cotto before the Cotto vs Canelo match was disappointing to say the least.
They were overcharging him for the middleweight title and when he refused to pay them the insane amount they wanted they stripped him off the belt right before the match and even if Cotto did win against Canelo(where Canelo came 15-20lbs over Cotto) he wouldn't get the belt, that is how corrupt WBC is.

But you are right, there's always a silver lining, see Canelo will have to fight GGG at some point of time in his career as Canelo only has 1 belt where GGG has all the rest. Even with the unnecessary catch weight and other bullet-points GGG WILL agree to the biased contract and they'll fight and Canelo will finally get the *** whooping he deserves.

80s -early 2000's was a total PK domination . Just check the stats . You guys lost 70 % of your matches against us while winning the world cup ones and a few others.

Ganguly has said this multiple times of how PK used to dominate them all over the world from Toronto to Sharjah .

He already has.

Just today there was an article how Amir Khan is being praised by boxing community as...and I quote..."one of the bravest boxers of the world"...

Amir Khan is a true, fearless warrior. Believe me, going against Canello wasn't a child's play.

And he did it with respect. He boxed Canello like a man and went down like a man.

That's why even Canello didn't celebrate but rather checked on Amir Khan if he was alright

LMAO.

You are just insulting indian genetic now.

Comparing a freaking women fighter with a multiple times world champion of Professional boxing circle?

Do you even realize how stupid that is? It'd be like comparing women's captain of second-tier U.S soccer league with Lionel Messi!!!!

Amir Khan has achieved more than 1.2 billion indians combined--when it comes to boxing.

Come back when any indian can even become a 1st tier boxer in Professional circle--let alone a great world champion like Amir Khan who's worth in multiple millions of dollars purely because of his boxing achievements and victories

After the retirement of handpicked players of Imran khan our Cricket nose downward gradually...no doublt about it
.
But if someone answer me here.
.
Why our Cricket team of Ordinary Players in 2012 beat India in India by 2-1......last match was in our hand while chasing 175 runs ....but our Batting deceived us there....:o:
