The investments are only good if:

-They do not contribute to environmental degradation. Big economies typically require resource exploitation to produce goods to sell on the market to circulate money which is not typically environmentally friendly nor is it sustainable.

-They contribute to sustainability. Such as usage of second hand materials. Providing jobs for people cleaning up the environment. Providing education on population sustainability.

So far what we see is the desire to circulate more money without regards to the environment such as industrial waste or the welfare of the people.

That's my two cents.
