If China wants to build up an economy that is important to Chinese interests. A trade deal with Italy would stop the loss of Europe in the Chinese sphere. OBOR/BRI is supported by some small countries, Italy was the first G7 and large European country to join China's initiative. If Italy gets Salvini in Rome next election, China hating in Rome is going to be like in Washington. Salvini is a little puny trump. Salvini hates China and the Chinese, Salvini hates anybody and everybody. This could be like the Great Depression. If Europe does not recover, the Far Reich could rise like in Germany in the 1930s. So helping out the economies of Europe, especially those in the OBOR get past this bioweapon attack from the US, would help China. Europe and China have to remain friends. Trade it vital.
China develops Xinjiang to combat radicalism. Radical terrorists from the nazi far Reich are planning to overtake Europe. China should help those European countries who are aligned with China defeat radicalism there.
To me there is no difference between these Xinjiang separatists and Salvini. Their ideology is hate. A growing economy where there alignment with China is the solution to both problems.
Italy needs a priming to restart their economy. First orders placed to export to China, would prime the economy, for internal Italian trade and growth. That is my solution, I am not sure what Conte's ideas are.
