Indian engineering skills are so good that we can develop a commercial fast breeder reactor or a medium lift space launcher with a high thrust cryo upper stage- something which only a handful of nations can do.

We have the Kaveri which has achieved it's dry thrust requirement & over 96% of it's wet thrust requirements. It'll also power our UCAVs & serve as the basis for a future GT for naval application. It'll be integrated with LCA in 2019, with help from Safran to solve the issues with the same.

Your new sugar daddy, China spend even more time & money to get to a workable turbofan, and a CFM 56 turbofan core for that matter & their engines still have low MTBO/MTBF.
