Allan Border Field to host Australian XI v Bangladesh

Brisbane cricket fans will get a final chance to see two national teams wrap up their preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup when the touring Bangladesh team meet an Australian XI at Allan Border Field next Tuesday the 3rd and Thursday the 5th of February.

Bangladesh are currently based in Brisbane and training at Allan Border Field as they finalise their plans ahead of cricket’s showpiece tournament to be jointly held in Australia and New Zealand.

Australian captain Michael Clarke will continue is rehabilitation from hamstring surgery ahead of the World Cup when he lines up in Thursday’s team.

Queenslanders Chris Lynn, James Peirson and Nick Stevens will also take part in both matches, where entry will be free to the public.

Australia will meet Bangladesh at the Gabba on Saturday the 21st of February, while Brisbane will also host Ireland versus the United Arab Emirates (Wednesday Feb 25) and Pakistan versus Zimbabwe (Sunday March 1).

Match 1 – Tuesday Feb 3: Will Bosisto (WA), Harry Conway (NSW), Alex Gregory (SA), Chris Lynn (QLD), David Moody (WA), Jaron Morgan (WA), James Muirhead (VIC), James Pierson (QLD), Ben McDermott (QLD), Ashton Turner (WA), Timm Van der Gugten (TAS), Sean Willis (TAS).

Match 2 – Thursday Feb 5: Will Bosisto (WA), Michael Clarke (NSW), Harry Conway (NSW), Alex Gregory (SA), David Moody (WA), Jaron Morgan (WA), James Muirhead (VIC), James Pierson (QLD), Ben McDermott (QLD), Ashton Turner (WA), Timm Van der Gugten (TAS), Sean Willis (TAS).
