PTI now has 172-173 which is slightly more than the simple majority and this situation will get better soon in by-polls.

So the way it goes is the majority party/coalition proves it has 136/137 (i forget which) for the votable seats (that were in play in the election) and then it can assign the 40 or so that are reserved right?

Imran Khan is very confident so he seems he does indeed have the support. Do you know when the final coalition makeup will be released? Will it be put to floor test after he takes oath?

and by August 14, the new PM i.e. Imran Khan would have already taken the oath in-sha-Allah.

272 are directly contest seats so 138 is 50%
70 seats are reserved for women and minorities, chunks of which the parties will get proportional to their number of elected seats...PTI will get 33 + 5 seats from this after including independents....so forming govt is no issue for them now.
