Al-Thani family members hold first opposition meeting against Emir of Qatar

Twenty members of the ruling Al-Thani family in Qatar held an important meeting, the first of its kind, in which they rejected the policies of Sheikh Tamim.
The meeting was hosted by Sheikh Sultan Bin Suhaim Al-Thani, who has already announced his opposition to Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani’s policies, on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar.
Bin Suhaim said during the meeting: "Soon we will celebrate with our family in Doha."
Sultan bin Suhaim added that Qatar would soon return to its Gulf origins.
The meeting rejected decisions to withdraw nationalities from the elders of the tribes.
Sheikh Suhaim said that the tribal stance is historic and that Qatar will never back-stab its neighbors.
The meeting commended the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and sister countries to support the people of Qatar.
