al-Sadr becomes first Iraqi Shia leader to urge Assad to step down

"I would consider it fair for President Bashar al-Assad to resign and leave power, allowing the dear people of Syria to avoid the scourge of war and terrorist oppression," he said in a statement.
You are back again, Lol. Your propaganda source didn't fully published Al-Sadrs comments. The bold parts below are missing in your thread which shows your source and your thread is for propaganda and had an agenda to publish Al-Sadr's comments in this way. This is what Al-Sadr said:

"I think it would be fair for President Bashar al-Assad to offer his resignation and step down in love for Syria, to spare it the woes of war and terrorism ...and take a historic, heroic decision before it is too late," Sadr said in a statement.

Sadr said the U.S. strikes would "drag the region to war" and could help "the expansion of Daesh," the militant Islamic State group, which controls parts of Iraq and Syria.

Anyone has an idea who will/can replace Bashar El Assad in Syria if he leaves? His departure should be planned for, not spontaneous, because there are too many interest involved, the Arabs, the Americans, the Russians and the Iranians to a lesser extent..Apart from the Syrian factions themselves..

Here is a question that has been on my mind for a while and want to know the views of other members

Even if Assad steps down, what next? Will Syria become a safer place? Or will it become another Iraq or Libya after Saddam and Qaddafi?

.
LOL!!!! at the people thinking assad will step down.

the US just commited a blatant act of aggression. Rewarding that aggression is a guarantee that more aggression will come.

Assad has already said he will fight to the death, and his allies have both confirmed they will support him until he anahilates the last terrorist off Syrian lands.

the P^#^ grabbing orange president will not intimidate anybody with his act, but motivate his enemies to actively fight them.

American aggression and bullying intimidates slave nations only, not the free ones.

These three satans the US, SA and Turkey regimes have ruined Islamic countries from Yemen, Iraq, Syria and even more...

Iran Russia and Assad are angels of this world and always on the right side especially Iranians because they are God chosen people just like Jews.

On topic. I respect him like I respect any Shia who speaks against Assad's brutality against Syrians. and those who support him May Allah give you hidayat or May you witness the same amount of violence you wish upon and inflicting on Sunnis in Syria.

He doesn't represent Iraq .... You miss vital point here .... He is rebellious guy who has so many armed followers ...

Of course anybody who does speak of assad in a noble manner is rebellious!

@Sharif al-Hijaz
You think very simple and lightly about the problems in Iraq and Syria.

Saudism/wahabism killed 600000 Iraqis since 2003. Too many families want revenge, so they joined the front.

Also even if Iran would move towards nationalism that doesnt mean that we would break our ties with Levant and Iraq and Oman for example, no way. Lastly you forget that Iran had a big role in saving the region from Isis when certain parties where drinking on genocide of Shia.

Now I am sure Iranis do talk from their behinds. what a pathetic and delusional nation.

By Al-Maliki's confession (The iranian puppet) Syria and it's Ba'ath regime are the ones who were exporting terrorism to his country and training terrorists. He even threatened to escalate this to the UN and SC.
You're pathetic.

Yes. Libya and Iraq are million times safer than today's Syria.

Here the results of last free elections in Syria:

Actual support of Baath terrorists is less than 12%.

Pakistanis
Iranians

Well the surverys, research say something else about Iraqis killed by violence since 2003 and further:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraqi_Civil_War_(2014–present)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraqi_insurgency_(2011–present)

If you take the average of casualties mentioned, researched (2013-2017) then 600000 is not far from true. Let alone how many people are wounded, lost their homes and more. I know salafists try to minimize these numbers to make their religion look more peaceful.

Except none of the wars you listed were started by Salafi Muslims or Saudi Arabia, so why are you pointing the finger? Are you blind or something? Are you incapable of critical thinking or basic literacy?

Ideology of the killers (in the Iraqi civil war) comes from Saudi Arabia, same for the funding of the ideology, and most of the times also the financial support and the nationality of the killers (2003-2017).

Tell your dictator Sisi to kill when it's needed..there is a chance that salafist-jihadists might start a war in Egypt.

??? Nope, sorry to break it to you bro but you're delusional.

Also highly unlikely, I suggest you stop making stuff off the top of your head and linking pages that have nothing to do with the content of your comments.

Just eat your falafel like Sissi and dont give orders here, i'm giving my opinion backed by evidence. While you want to force me to claim that the killers were mostly non-salafists. Zarqawi was a jew or majus or hindu or copt?
