The majority of the BD folks are like their PM and Chief....

The majority of the Pak folks are like their PM and Chief....

How could they ever think of getting along and being compatriots??????

Glad you are not Pakistani Patwari or Jiyala. They would have defended this corruption

No I am glad I have a backbone, even though I am fortunate to come from a solvent and somewhat educated business-oriented family and background.

You can't have corrupt top leaders in power who feign uprightness when they are entrusted with upholding and preserving law and order, brazenly flaunt open corruption, and that too this openly. Support of common criminals at the highest level! Out of the four brothers of Aziz, two are absconders living in Malaysia, and they openly came back home (under Aziz' protection, no doubt) to attend Aziz' son's wedding.

There will be an investigation and heads will roll. Maybe not Hasina's, but certainly this COAS and his relatives.

If she has any iota of sense, she will distance herself by using these people as sacrificial scapegoats, which they so rightly deserve. Take away a few heads, all is supposed to be good, problem taken care of...

I don't know if some of you guys remember (I'm sure Bangladeshi brothers do). Back when they made this underqualified guy COAS, I expressed surprise at that time on how an obvious India agent and brother of criminals (in fact four brothers of Aziz have crime records) had been made COAS.

If Army top brass is okay with this, I have lost hope of having an independent Army command who is a check-and-balance component against Hasina.

If they are simply order takers for Hasina, then I will renounce my Bangladeshi citizenship for good.

This video talks about how to be a ruler you should check it out

But to control a country one of the key people you need on your side is the military , so I'm not surprised by this at all

Hacking calls is not that difficult. The equipment can even be bought on ebay for 3-5K USD. You use the device to hack a cell tower.

Home mobile calling work:

Pretty much when you make a call it goes and hits the closest cell tower near you. That Cell tower then routes the call to the closest cell tower to the receiver. The cell tower closest to the receiver routes it to the receiver.

If you are able to hack multiple cell towers then this is fairly simple. Infact many spies have used these devices to spy on their suspects. This equipment does not seem as sophisticated as other software monitoring tools that the Israelis have sold to UAE, KSA, and the US. This story is exaggerated.

Sorry that does not make sense , cell towers are not plug and play architecture , cell phone towers are only used to transmit and recieve signals from valid imeis+sim combos, the controller that manages the auth and validation only works with registered imeis+sims or similar authentication mechanisms. The imeis+sims are also closely monitored and regulated by the provider as well as the telecom authority. On top of that most TSPs have robust mechanisms to monitor the intent and type of requests being relayed.
Its a fairly robust and hack proof mechanism.

If any such thing needs to happen one needs direct access to the controller hardware+software somehow by legal or clandestine physical taps/hacks (an insider job).

Then one can write up layers of ai to analyze the bigdata to zero in on high impact conversations.

I think most of the money went into the last element the Ai analysis.

This would clearly establish the hold of india over Bangladesh govt and army.
Aye man. Got em by the balls.

Also, give some credits to Malaysia to let these criminals stay there with RAAA's help

Well this exposé piece is not the end of it. I saw several talk shows (all outside Bangladesh of course) discussing this and one guy commented (who is supposed to be pretty close to the Al Jazeera team) that there are seven more episodes to be aired, one reportedly about (get this) Salman Rahman (Darbesh).

I am waiting with bated breath.

I guess media (especially investigative reporting) is a wonderful egalitarian way of expression these days which can really expose all corrupt people, if needed and hopefully bring welcome change.

Initially I was very sad at the shaming of our govt. by the media (our govt. leaders being as corrupt as they are, they had very little of it exposed like this), then I realized that the fallout of all this cannot be totally bad.

There will come a day I won't be ashamed to say that I am from Bangladesh.

Accountability and answerability for public servants are great traits, even for a pseudo democratic regime like Bangladesh. If it has to be earned in a forced manner, then so be it.

Any idea when the reports will be published?

Terming Al Jazeera's recent report as yellow journalism, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Wednesday claimed that the report is baseless, terrorist-patronised and is a part of conspiracy against Bangladesh.

The minister came up with the remarks while responding to reporters today, reports Somoy TV.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, "A vested quarter is behind the report with a specific purpose. The report has been made to put government into trouble by humiliating Bangladesh."

Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera published a report titled "All the Prime Minister's Men" on Monday.

Hours after publishing the report, Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry, in a statement, termed it as politically motivated "smear campaign" by notorious individuals associated with the Jamaat-e-Islami extremist group.

does Qatar have something to gain from all this reporting on Bangladesh, or is it just a coincidence?

But all the watches were gifts from BAL brats, every single one of them! :cheesy:
50k dollar worth each? Even bill gates wears 50$ casio
she seems like a fascinating character though. i wonder what gets her out of bed every morning at her age, if she is really patriotic and wants Bangladesh to grow, or if she is more interested in living long enough to get all her dad's killers hanged.
Power is a powerful aphrodisiac

Get ready for propaganda, counter propaganda, counter counter propaganda, twitter army defending/attacking these corrupt bastards. Basically confusion and chaos. One party will make it a national security issue and claim any & all future investigations as an attack on _____. Bangladeshi's can fill in this blank better. In our case it is democracy. You nab a politician thief and it is termed an attack on democracy. You talk about military thief and it is termed an attack on national security. Wishing you guys and my own country good luck.
